In continuation to this, today I filled pso hi octane and drove the exact same way coming from isl to Lahore and got 15.9kmpl. And this was with an extra passenger and slightly less luggage than before. So 0.6kmpl better with hi octane on motorway, but with the 26rs difference between hi octane and super, I didn't break even. Approx 400rs extra was spent getting hi octane for about 400kms.

If the difference was 10rs, then break even would've been achieved. At above 15rs difference, don't think hi octane is worth it for 1.5 CVT.

Got first oil change of aspire cvt. Opted for SP grade instead of SN. I was told that you can run the sp grade to 10k. The old price has been cut, that's a shame. Total cost with oil filter was 7850.

Hi all, I've got a really stupid/simple question.

If I buy a zero meter City Aspire 1.5L tomorrow, can I drive it on the motorway (Isb-Lhr) in a few days? I know ages ago you'd need to run cars for a bit before taking them on a long journey etc, but do modern cars still have/require that?

Engine Break-in is done before delivery.. you can drive your car right away on motorway.. just don’t perform sudden acceleration for initial 2000 KM, it’s written in manual. Only problem would be, applied for car without no plates on motorway isn’t allowed.

You can take on motorway but with some precautions

• Avoid hard acceleration till 1000km
• Avoid hard braking till 300km
• Don't overspeed. Better to keep the speed at 100
• Avoid constant rpm for long duration for the first 1000km. This is automatically done in the city driving. But on motorway, keep varying your speed between 80 and 100.

Anyone who has got his delivery recently? Just want to check if deliveries are being made as per tentatative delivery date or not?

Background of my question is that my tentatative delivery date was 30 July, 22 and I haven't received my 1.2 CVT yet and dealership is not even giving me any idea as to when will I receive the delivery?

I took mine when it was just 600kms driven. Didn't use cruise control, didn't drive above 140, kept varying rpms every minute or so. Alhamdulillah now at 11k Kms engine feels like it was properly broken in.

There is no sports mode in Aspire or City, you can not call it slugish but there is no thrill in it...

Yaris ka sports mode acha hay, agar sath manual shifter use kerna aata hay tu aag bun jati hay

Yeah I called driving in S in transmission as sports mode for city. The power difference between both 1.5 city and Yaris is pretty big so it's difficult to believe that the Yaris can feel faster. Would have to properly drive it to be sure.

Yeah to me it feels close to corolla and civic 1.8 so it's difficult to believe that Yaris feels faster.

Triptonic is a big plus while driving in the northern area. You can control your car just like a manual car

Last month i traveled to kalam and the road from mingora to kalam is a single road with lots of traffic. To overtake any car you have to maintain a certain speed and keep the car in lower gear which is only possible with either old auto tranny (D3,D2,L) or with triptonic

S and L mode in honda CVTs serve the same purpose in a different style. S holds the engine at 3k rpm and L mode holds the engine at 4k rpm when engine braking. Tiptronic gives more control but unlike Hondas you can't just set it and forget about it. For most average users Honda modes are definitely easier to figure out.

Being a 2022 city owner I have 2 questions:

1) how do you protect your leather seats ? I have just removed wrappers and i can start seeing the dark spots due to dust. I have cleaned them but just curious or should i ignore and keep driving like this?

2) Has anyone installed led bulbs in headlights? I have been waiting for BILED but they have stopped the import due to dollar rate. Do we have any other option except AUXLED they are the shittest( Tested in fog lamps). Can anyone confirm?

Leaving bare leather os not a good idea. Just like leaving the paint without any protection causes oxidation in the long run.

Use any leather protection product. Personally I use Luxury Leather once a month.

1) I have the same phobia as yours which is why I've still not taken off the plastic in mine (no judgments please :p)
I was thinking of adding loose fabric seat covers on top of the OEM leather seats, would it be fine?
2) I'm not sure about bi-led being a perfect choice because I currently have it installed in another car of mine with an h4 socket. Quite frankly, it has a perfect beam pattern and cut-off but the brightness of the bulb itself is not justifiable. if you can visit the market then do check out LEDs by bugatti as they seem cost-efficient

all those discussing the sports mode in Yaris. personally, I think that yes, city does lack a dedicated sports mode but at the same time its S mode on the gear does pretty much make up for it. the car's response is totally different from what it usually is at D mode and also after the vtec kicks in you can practically feel the difference in the car's behavior.

Definitely i am talking about driving in a particular scenario, rest there is no such need to use triptonic. S mode will shift to the next gear after certain RPM, sometimes you need to keep the car in the same gear and you want to accelerate as soon as you press the pedal
