I had asked for Honda City registration costing details some weeks back but didnt receive any feedback on that now that I have completed the process thought I should share the details for anyone else looking for info.
I purchased my car on cash so this is for if you have purchased the car on cash and go for registration yourself.
If you send someone else regardless of documents and everything they would not do it for you and you would have to resort to agents. I did everything myself with ZERO reference, rishtaydaari, or bakshish.
Take your complete original file documents, NIC and cheque book.
Arrive at Civic Center and you would be swarmed by agents for all sort of works, simply go to the photocopier area, get the New car registration form and fill it yourself. Make a copy of your original car file docuements too.
Next head to 2nd floor and counter 11 and 12 are for new car reg. Present your file with NIC and they would calculate for you the estimate for registration. Next, head down in the parking area and there are three banks situated there UBL , National Bank and Allied. if you have a account in these simply make a pay order for the amount which takes like 10 minutes.
Head back to the same counter and present the file with the payorder, they would then send you to the Admin room for I dont know why they just look at you check the documents and do a signature and then head back to the same counter, they would inout all details in their system and then hand you the registration documents. When I got the registration document, I went to the room opposite to the counter and there they gave me the original license plates right there and then.
Thats it. I had heard a lot of scary and complication filled registration stories but this one went without an issue and took me like an hour to do it myself.
Honda City aspire 1.5= Registration fee as of May 2023= 89,720 Rupees
Original plates received right there and then. File to be collected in 15 days time.
