Yes, stop n go traffic have worse effect on fuel economy of all vehicles. Generally, bigger engines consume more fuel at idling than the smaller ones. But bigger engines are more fuel efficient when driven on highway or motorway. They scream less and accelerate easily when required at high speeds.
Running AC at parking is 0 kpl. This is even worse than stop n go traffic. I am not saying you shouldn't do it. But at the same time, you should be aware of it.
