Mid variant doesn't has retract I assume, CVT is just cheaper and less durable.

Newer 6 speed 7 speed ATs are fuel efficient too.

I know how badly Honda City IDSI was perceived in Pakistan, now everyone wants a CVT.

People are anticipating Corolla 1.6 CVT like it would give 17 kmpl in city.

Though I have booked swift GLX but in my opinion buying a vehicle from Suzuki is an absolute foolishness. Pay the whole amount to company and wait for the delivery for more than six months. And after that you will receive a low quality product at the end in a very high price bracket

kisi bhai na swift ka spark plug change karway ha with irradium or titanium plugs..ager karway ha tu kiya us sa fuel avg ma farak aya ha ? Bcz m confuse suzuki na konsa disposables spark plugs lagai ha jo her 10000 km ka bad replace karna ka bol rahi ha ..

yes its always good to know any possible improvement, but kindly proceed with replacement after 10k KMs, there is no point of wasting watever is put in by pak suzuki.

Yaris Gli manual. You have to baby it though for this average.
a weekday in karachi. AC on throughout ride
20% Clifton road, 50 % shahrah e Faisal, 30% gulshan area in clouding the back breaking university road.

But in traffic can't match cultus in the petrol average department. Yaris manual Only gives 10 to 13 max in traffic.

personally never used a yaris,. I was making my mind for it but someone from Karachi shared that these days its not more than 10/11. Mayb depends on traffic.

but 17 for 1300cc sedan is v nice.

Yaris does 12 to 15 kmpl in ideal driving conditions.

10 is low for Yaris.

See, i guess need to test it myself, caz there r 3 different bands:

1. 10/11
2. 12 to 15
3. 17

10 to 17 is big jump

Like I said. This was daytime non peak traffic and most of travel was on Shahrah e Faisal (not in some pot holed filled roads where u need to drive in 1st gear) speed was 60 to 65 as that was the traffic flow. rpms nearish 2 to 2.5.

Had to really baby it and drive softly. Otherwise this is not my usual driving style.

usually get between 10 to 13 in the 6 pm to 8pm peak traffic time which is route (and qismat) dependent as well.

However again I reiterate that comparing both categories (cultus / swift vs yaris) is criminal !

I have not driven swift and neither plan to own one as disappointed with a previously bought cultus in terms of quality, but in the fuel average department I don't think anything can beat these hatch back suzuki. However do be prepared to sacrifice some quality and longevity (specially low quality paint).

swift CVT maintains 60kph @ 1200 RPM, i think yaris CVT will do the same.

yes new suzuki line up are detuned for performance and keeping in mind the fuel economy.

so u drive a suzuki in traffic which is the real test for fuel economy and it wont disappoint you.

Suzuki cultus manual (new shape) average. Same driving conditions as in the yaris manual case.
Gives approx 20kpl.
Speed 60 to 65kph. Rpm 2 to 2.5.
AC on throughout.

I have GL CVT variant, 6000km driven. My idle RPM without AC drops to 650 which causes vibration in idle usually at stop signs or in slow traffic. With AC, its around 900 and feels totally smooth. Is it the same for you guys as well?

What's the idle RPM without AC for new swift? And how do you get the idle rpms changed? I went to the dealership and they said its fine and they do not feel any vibrations but as I drive it daily, I know its not fine at all.
