What if the tentative date for car delivery was 3+ months? Do we still get compensated, or it is only for the delay beyond the initial tentative date given?

i booked alto in sept2021. got tentative delivery date (tdd) of 120 days. got delivery in 100 days. got compensated for 40 days i.e each day past 60 days of full payment. government's rule is of 60 days after full payment irrespective of tdd
