Welcome to Day 4
Time to close Leepa Valley section and move on to the 'Greenery Queen of the North' ..... Neelum Valley
Today's morning was not as happening as yesterday's so took a few shots and then started our journey down to Jehlum Valley.
We started at 9:30 a.m. and took a small photography break above Lamnian village.
We reached MZF around 12 p.m. and stopped at Sangam Hotel for brunch. Our last team member Ahmed Iqbal was waiting for us at Sangam Hotel and we left for Neelum Valley around 2 p.m. after taking the meal.
Had to stop for 10-15 min due to landslide work just after MZF. We continued our journey afterwards and stopped at Dhani waterfall at 3:30 p.m. Quite a disappointment due to very less waterflow but we managed to have some fun there with some interesting shots
Crossed the hydro project area at 4 p.m. and reached Kundal Shahi at 5:20 p.m. I kept on taking shots throughout the route but there was no major stop and mainly road travel.
We reached Athmuqam at 6 p.m. and Valley Trackers in Keran at 6:30 p.m.
The initial road after MZF was in pathetic condition with landslides all over the place. But after Noseri, it was a smooth drive till Keran.
I had booking in Valley Trackers on chance basis otherwise we had all the camping equipment available and offer of free camping from Valley Trackers. One room was available when we reached there for Rs. 2500 and they gave us TV lounge as well with 3 mattresses @Rs. 500 per mattress.
We shifted the luggage in the rooms and started to settle down. By now Ch. saab had made the plans to bunk the rest of the trip and leave for Lahore with Shah ji
While rest of us were planning for the Big Day tomorrow .... Ratti Gali Trek
All of sudden, there was knock on the door and in came Mr. Rashid @emmaar
He was just checking who were the newcomers in next room which happened to be us and we recognized the faces immediately
Had an interesting chat about the trips while we were getting the bags ready for Ratti Gali trek.
Afterwards, we had dinner and went to sleep. But there was a group of young lads (boys and girls) who kept the whole area awake with their midnight cricket and then middle of the park loud chitchat. Atlast, i had to open the window and request them to stop disturbing those who were trying to sleep around 2 a.m. and finally we went to sleep.
Night stay at Valley Trackers Tourist Lodge, Keran.
