Here is some information about Ratti Gali Trek 
Starting Point: Dowarian Village on main Neelum Valley road
Starting Altitude: 5370 ft
Jeep Track: Jeep track was made till 8 km but destroyed due to flood on 23 Aug 2012
Trek length: 19 km + 19 km = 38 km for return journey
Lake Altitude: 12,130 ft
The most important lesson we learned on this trek is to start early around sunrise from Dowarian as the altitude is only 5370 ft which is usually not that cold and we suffered from hot weather and pinching sun during daytime.
The start of this trek is tough but it doesn't get better like Dudipat Sar Lake trek. The trek doesn't get straight and keeps climbing till the end. The valley is not open and is enough wide only to let the nallah pass through it. So, the whole trek is on the slopes of the mountains. Only plain surface is near the smaller Ratti Gali Lake.

An important fact is that this trek is quite populated till the lake. During the first 8 km (destroyed jeep track area) u will find numerous villages and cultivation on both sides of Dowarian Nallah. Then there are 3 villages between end of jeep track and Jhuggiyan including Jhuggiyan. There are 4 more villages till Ratti Gali Lake. So, u will find people moving on this trek throughout the day and that particular wilderness feel is not there.
The trek was very green and beautiful. Quite a lot of variety of flowers, trees and different plants. There are 4 side valleys which give lovely views. Views were amazing all around but valley is very narrow and never expands.
The trek difficulty is lesser between Jhuggiyan and basecamp area. Only the last climb feels tough as it is at the end of the trek and takes around 30-40 min.
