After crossing the Kohistan area greenery vanished and the sandy area started. It was a bit different but the scenes were very beautiful all around us.

The road in very good condition and going at good speed.

A check post few kms before Chillas. Our ID details were entered and we resumed our journey.

Road was perfect and we were heading towards our destination quickly.

Finally reached Gilgit at 10: 45 PM after 19 hours of continuous drive from the Capital and stayed there in Jutial.

We booked 2 rooms in City Gate Hotel for 1500 each. It was the first hotel we saw after entering the city so without wasting our time we stopped there.

Friends I am going to Chitral and Ghizar tour with Mubeen @aesiege and Nauman @nomi700, so I'll be back with more pics after coming back

We were continuously driving and were not willing to stay for Breakfast/Lunch. Lays, drinks and water kept us alive

Lays, Drinks aur Water par zinda rehne wale Allah k bande, Tag **** to kar dia karo aisa behtareen trip mujhe 3 din tak pata hi nahi chala !!!

From Raikot bridge till Khunjarab pass KKH is awesome... Except Offcourse you have to put your ride on a boat and cross attabad lake.. And just after attabad crossing there is an off-road patch about 400 to 500 yards through a rocky riverine owing to a mud slide at a small village called gulmit... Only 4x4s are able to cross this area and normal traffic was closed... I was there on 18.05.2014...
Work on tunnel is at full throttle and authorities are targeting end 2015 to complete is so if you are an adventure junkie than time is short...
