b16 is a popular overrated engine worldwide. see some dyno statistics of various engines before you make serious comments to honda and toyota. to me you sound like yr running a 3rd gaint company of engine manufacturer. and not i am not talking about you tunning a engine, i am talking about honda tunning b16 stock.

Compression ratio: 11
Bore in mm:-81
Stroke in mm:-77

Honda B16A

Engine model:B16A
Engine type:-Water cooling serial 4 cylinder DOHC 16 valve
Displacement in CC's:-1595cc
Tranny:5 speed manuals.

Max Power-Kw(PS)/Rpm:-160ps(117.68kw) / 7600 rpm.

Max Torque-N.m(Kg.m)/Rpm:-15.5kg.m (152.00N.m)/7000 rpm.

Compression ratio:10.2
Bore in mm:-81
Stroke in mm:-77.4

so from this you can conclude out winner..its all stock........i think 20V is gonna take a lead with flying colors...B16 getting its max torque at 7000rpms....whereas 20V geting more than that in just 5600rpms...compression of 20v is bit higher....20 valves 3 on inlet makes much difference also...fo i think 20V no doubt is better than B16....6 Speed Gearbox is gonna make much better ratios than 5 speed....so what you want else....

hash : st is 165hp, bt is 185hp. due to map sensor and minor change in piston setup. both is bzr engines,, found in GT apex.

ser gtr gave international standard stats from web, everybody can find em. yes ofdourse you can reduce hp by using a diffirent dyno test but you cannot remove actual power of the engine ?. can u

a second gen b16 is 170hp
and the bt is 165 not 185
look at the redline of the b16 ull be stuck changing gears in a the 20v n i can rev to 9000 rpms with a chip

look at the fueling difference 4age give 4-6 kms in a liter and b16 gives 9 easy

look at the aftermarket mods available

and FINALY THE B16 TYPE R WHICH HAS THE 10:8 COMPRESSION RATIO LIKE THE 20V MAKES 185 HP...
