Finally someone admitting this , yes rebuild is the best alternative . The car remains original. A rebuild is not that much costly unless you have damaged the rotor housing. If you blow your Rotary engine just park the car in your garage , order parts and rebuild it. People overreact regarding rebuilding rotaries. I think its a more simpler engine then the normal conventional internal combustion engine.

I have gone through the entire thread and all i can say is i feel so proud of you all that finally you all started supporting Rotary and talking in favor of this beautiful engine .

I still remember that day when i was new to Pakwheels , joined this forum just for the soul purpose to promote and support Rotray engines , i had my ups and downs with a few members on Pakwheels who nagged and taunted me off not knowing about Rotary engines.

Thanks to the events like Auto cross that enlightened people with importance of a cars handling and power to weight ratio and finally realized how important a Rotary engine is in a RX-7 or RX-8 .

Inshallah if there will be a strong and steady support of Rotray engines in Pakistan one day we will have tuners of Rotary too

A proper tuned Rotary engine is handful for any piston counterpart .

90% of the time these swapped rx8s are standing in the workshop .... in these pics you can see almost all the swapped rx8s of peshawar in workshop at one time (only the yellow one is missing and thats because his 1jz overheated and now he hasnt got enough money to put a new engine for the fourth time)

and the handling is not bad its totally sh*t ... these swapped cars are death traps absolutely out of control ... push the throttle a bit even in third gear and it fish tails like hell, totally totally unpredictable what it will do next.

if you are planning to swap your rx8 or planing on buying a swapped rx8 .... just say NO ... dont believe me just drive a car your self for 10kms and you will back off in no time

Let me Fahd and Sheryar go to this workshop with shotguns.

The guys at Mazda aren't exactly idiots , they have finely tuned the balance of front and rear of all the RX series for a reason. And then these thick headed fools come along and ruin their cars. If they can't take care of a rotary then why didn't they buy some other sports car? I am pretty sure there are plenty to choose from.

I think i better sell off my 8s before i look like an idiot.

Is that celica also there for some swap or just regular maintenance?

We won't have any tuned Rotaries until the price of RX increases , then there will be less thick headed people buying it.

The guys at the rx8forum get really surprised when they hear someone swap a jz in RX because people around the world go for rebuilds instead turning their car into a Mazyota.

RX-7 and Rx-8 are meant to be a Rotary powered cars . If we change this formula then it is a never ending story of workshop visits.

Why do people in Pakistan go for a Jz swap ? .

1. there are few Rotary mechanics.

2. Jz engines are available in abundance.

3. Every one fancies that their car has Supra power under their hood .

celica is mine, there for changing transmission from auto to MANUAL
