It took us much longer to travel from Karachi to RYK and then RYK to Lahore, than it did for us to return. Return journey was very quick. Points to learn from this:
there is a lot more traffic on Saturday's and Sunday's, which is why we got so delayed. Second, the Raiwind tableeghi ijtimah ended on Sunday the 16th of Nov, which resulted in a lot of traffic from Raiwind heading all over Punjab. If possible, try to travel on a weekday.
on our way back, the roads in Punjab were practically empty, so we got to speed up and cover the distances quickly.
