I went through the Beartooth Pass today and scenery was gorgeous. However, I had to ride carefully since there was too much gravel on the road still. it's end of July and snow was still around. I wouldn't mind riding over this pass one more time, it was amazing.

It's amazing how they carve through the snow to clean out the road. I was at about 9000 ft elevation and my bike started to act funny. I'm not sure if its because of the height or not but my idle started to drop below 1,000 and had to raise it up a bit.

Today I toured around Yellowstone National Park. I had to stop to take a picture with the Lulu Pass board, haha.

These some pictures of the mud volcano in Yellowstone, it smelled of rotten eggs. I wonder why people drive thousands of miles just to smell rotten eggs. Well I too sadly rode 3000 miles to see this, YES i reached my 3000 mile mark today!

I camped at Yellowstone for the night and I almost froze to death. Of course I'm not equipped with the right gear. When I woke up I saw ice all over the bike. Pictures don't do justice, it was actually a layer of ice. I had to scrape it off the seat and it still was cold for the next 30 minutes, haha.

Also got a chance to see the Old Faithful geyser. It's an eruption of boiling water that can shoot 3,700 to 8,400 US gallons of water to a height of 106 to 185 feet (32 to 56 m) lasting from 1.5 to 5 minutes. The eruptions occur an average of 90 minutes apart today.

The last 150 miles seemed like a week and a half. It felt like 50 hair dryers were turned on to the max heat and stuck under my clothes. My helmet was about to fry my brain, I was feeling dizzy and nauseous, and there was no sign of any kind of shade or maybe even a tree, nothing at all. Straight boring road, the sun, and myself.

Only 175 more miles to go in this heat, ONLY.

So earlier today, while I was riding at 80 mph in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska, I got stung by a bee. I don't know how it got through my jacket, but it stung me in the stomach. I pulled over and noticed it began to swell so I put some ice on it.

Now I'm back on the road headed to Omaha, Nebraska where I will be meeting up with a group of Pakistanis and staying for the night.

Btw, my Spot GPS battery died and I can't find lithium-ion replacement batteries. Hopefully in Omaha I can get some.

OMG..someone needs to give you a quick lesson on birds and bees and the mysterious swelling on the stomach. An icepack usually won't help much..tsk tsk tsk.
