Any idea on the duties, alta bahi please help here ... 92-96 kee gari hogi, 1.6L engine (less than 1600cc exact agar cc ho). Will the duties change in the next budget ???

Also duties for the 1300cc Turbo starlet GT 92-95.

I recommend you to go for Starlet Glanza V instead of Starlet GT coz Glanza V is more advance then starlet GT ... got more traction ... you can see one in my earlier post on the same thread ... there is not much price difference in Japan ... as far as the duty structure is concern Alta will help you out ...

Just simple correction, Glanza is a bigger car then the starlet and heavier with the same 4EFTE engine making the same 134hp. That is why you see me or many more other ppl running after a Starlet EP82. As for traction I do not think it has more traction then the starlet coz the setup is similar just the shell or outer skin is changed and more gadgets are placed in it for comfort.

In this part of world people don't have much knowledge about cars & modifications ...

If some one need to know specially about Starlet and modify ... he sould consult with Dave avaliable on www.ToyotaGTturbo.com ... The guy modified a Glanza V and do give suggestions ... I have seen his Glanza V in a magzine and she is the fastest one ... and they perfer Glanza V over starlet GT ...

I don't get it! You are telling me or others on this board to get in touch with Dave to modify our Starlets. Is he in Pak? I do not think he is and he is just like me or you sitting behind a computer on a forum. I do not think that Forum or any other forum is better then PWs.

So Ebrahim Bai, let me give a different example which might help you understand what I am trying to say here. In all the GTRs R32-R34 ppl prefer the R32 coz it is the lightest in wieght and has a smaller body shell. Weight is a performance killer and the less of it you have the better. So EP82 weighs much less then the Glanza V.

Starlet GT EP82 weighs in at 790Kgs
Glanza V weighs in at 920Kgs

you decide which is better for performance?

I agree with you as EP82 is lighter then EP91 ...

Actually I am talking about a big community on internet like us on PW ... (www.toyotagtturbo.com) its a discussion forum ... where people talk mostly about Starlets and nearly 90% of their discussion based on Starlets... every one there own a starlet ... on PW if you ask some one to advise you what should be better way to enhance performance then there are very few who can guide you about starlets ... but on that forum people are very expert as they are practically involved in starlets modifications ...

I just want to say if some one is totally focused on a high performance starlet project then he can consult with those people … I am member of the said forum for around one year and I learn a lot there …

I don’t exactly know why but mostly people there prefer Glanza over EP82 … you can find members there who use starlet as a daily driven car … and members who are seriously involved in drag racing …

I am not advertising any other forum but just sharing my experience …

Dont feel sorry ... we are community members and like one family ... as you raised a valid point that EP82 is lighter then why they always like Glanza ...

I just float this question on that forum and will let you know what they people think actually ... but it might take a couple of days as mostly people are not regular visitors ...

lot of the times it depends on availability and know how and that is what limits them. Just like us on PWs, we are some how limited to 20V or B series

Facts :
Glanza is 70 kilo heavier than GT
Glanza CT9b turbo has one extra blade to spool faster than GT ct9a (deliver same power)
Glanza gearbox as closer ratio than GT one
Glanza rods are lighter than GT ones
Glanza has boost restriction in 1rst and second to prevent wheelspin (can be bypassed). GT doesn't have that feature
They are both kick ass pocket rocket. choose the one you like. they are pretty much the same anyway. the way yu will mod it will make the difference...

i think the car with lighter weight have had advantage.....!bcz it makes better power to weight ratio.....!
somehow....earlier Starlets are lighter than that of End Models Glanza's GT........! Glanza is no doubt better and made much reliable and comfortable than EP82 but it somehow weights bit more than EP82.........!
Ppl modify them as they wan't.......seen one Dyno video of EP71 with 4AGTE on its extreme........so if someone like EP82 he makes it like he want...if someone likes Glanza...he will make it like he wan'ts....
and if someone still likes RWD like me......what can he do...he wanna make one bcz he likes it lolx...
at last.....Different ppl have different likes and dislikes so the car he likes is best for him (y)....no matter what!!

thanks rashid bhai........for informing me....yeah i consider that it must give us 9-10km on low rpms...getting full advantage of torque.........!
well the another interesting fact about 20V just came when i am watching its spec on someplace........Toyota rated ST 160hp and and BT 165hp @100RONs of fuels.....thats make me think of fuel :S.....well here its hard to get a good 92RON High Octane....100RONs are different thing........also readout on Forums that 100Kw 4AGE 16V and later 20V versions cameup with Knock Sensor....so it can also run on low octane...but to attain its real performance...one should use hig octane......!
its gonna put its real output when used with 100RONs...!
thats another stuff just came in mind last light.......!
