whats an FCD?
when u have the need to LSD gear box...cuz on stock 135HP it is not equiped with LSD.....
and what will be th ecost of replacing it[/highlight]
@rozzzzz
whats an FCD?
to know about that first we must decipher what fuel cut really is?
Fuel cut is actually a removal of the the injector firing signal from the ECU. This is to say that your engine computer doesn't put fuel in the engine, hence the name. What causes it? , well it is a sort of protection for the engine and is there for a reason, when running ridiculous boost pressures for more horsepower, Fuel cut is actually caused by the ECU seeing more air entering the engine than it was originally programmed to use. This likely cooresponds with an injector duty cycle which is unsafe or unattainable. So basically fuel cut is caused by the ECU seeing a dangerous level of air entering the engine which cannot be dealt with on the factory ignition and fuel maps and the factory ignition and fuel delivery system's limitations. im pretty sure this ho the conversation goes in between the ECU and the MAP/MAF sensor
ecu senses that TOO MUCH air is going into the engine for that rpm, load, and throttle position. The ecu intentionally runs the entire powerband rich. But the airflow meter says to the ecu...hey, I have xxx cfm/ xx psi going by me. The ecu says...hey, that's too much air...the bov or the wastgate is stuck and the boost will destroy the motor...lets slow things down a bit.
lol jokes apart hitting the fuel cut is not the most pleasant feeling in the world ,it's like hitting a brick wall and the car begins to hesitate and shudder, throwing CEL's(check engine light) all round.
to counter this an FCD is used (FCD=fuel cut defencer) The FCD is an electronic device to properly raise the factory fuel cut level on factory turbocharged vehicles. As modifications are made to optimize engine performance, the factory fuel cut is often triggered by higher boost levels which activate a fuel delivery cut-off as a failsafe procedure.

sir the Toyota 4E-FTE came with two transmissions (i)Toyota C150 transmission or the optional (ii)C151 transmission featured an LSD
depends on your setup, but a high horsepower FWD setup has traction issues due to the weight transfer to the back of the car while launching off the line so an LSD would be a wise option. most FWD engines begin to feature Limited slip differentials above 140whp , (im not saying all of them but some of them)
and what will be th ecost of replacing it
the LSD gearbox or the FCD please elaborate.
thank you.
