Saqib (janj) requested me to takeover the responsibility of managing the Driver/Navigator Conference, to be held an hour or so before the Rally on 3rd, I accepted to assit.
Prospective rally participants who have read the RULES would know and those who have not are being informed that while benifiting from our last year's experiance, it has been decided that, being a Mud Track, NO Route Reccee can be allowed on the Rally Day. Instead, a video/virtual tour will be given to the participants on a TV screen during Driver Navigator Conference. Participants will also be provided a map of the track and it would be suggested that rally notes, if any, be jotted down during the virtual tour.
Exception to this is that once the track is prepared/muddy, after consulting Saqib, a few days may be assigned for participants to come over and drive on the track, however, since atleast 2 days would be required to prepare the track for the final event, in any case, all rally vehicles will be banned from entring the track from 1st April onwards.
Sunday afternoon, the CAT earth movers completed their work and before watering the track, I found it approperiate to make a movie of the dry track so that all prospective rally participants may have the idea of the track lay out and the depth of the would be mud in the final track for the rally.
I tried to upload the video from youtube but failed, would request Saqib to upload the link in the morning, till then, you can go to youtube and watch this "4x4 Engaged? Dry Run of 2nd Night Mud Rally's Track"
