Dear Ahsan, Salaam
Would surely post pictures of the Evos but this might not be the right thread for that. Being still a computer illiterate, would have to request Saqib or Bugzy to help.
The reason for taking the voluntary retirement from rallies is not that my need for speed is tamed but because the financial burden of this very very expensive hobby was getting difficult for me to bear on perpetual basis. Last year I tried my best to get sponsorships. The amounts pledged were in thousands, whereas it requires a minimum of a couple of hundred thousand to do one rally properly. Further, atleast a month is lost per rally. Given the fact that there are 4 or 5 rallies per year, the un-tabulated cost of lost work at office is a bonus.
Last fall I gave myself a few worldly targets, which, amongst others included the construction of my office *** residence. God willing, should achieve the targets maximum by the fall of 2011, following which, if the urge remains, I can always return to rallies.
However, even in that eventuality, I wont rally in an Evo. Reasons are that firstly I am not a very capable driver and honestly dont think I would be able to consistently handle the 150 plus speeds required to reach the podium of A catagory. Secondly, being out of production since 1999, with around 1000 samples produced in total, only eleven of them in Pakistan, Evos are a collectors item and must be saved from total destruction in rallies.
