Hello Everybody,

I am looking to buy my first 4X4, that is, Surf 96-97. I really don't know much about 4X4, but I am inclined to by Surf for its looks, durability, brute power and cost.

The dilemma I am facing is whether to buy a petrol machine or diesel. My usage will include:

1. Drive occasionally (once to twice a week in city)

2. Very occasional visits to off-road or long drives (once a month to once a quarter may be)

A friend of mine who is in auto-sale business suggested buying a petrol machine, because diesel now a days got more expensive than petrol and diesel machines require more maintenance, noise and vibration are other un-desired features of diesel autos.

I currently have 2005 XLi, in extremely immaculate condition, which I am looking to sell before buying Surf, the nature of my work is that it has done 35K KM and has been driven once a week for only few kilometers.

ALSO, I live in Karachi, please advise the most reasonable price range for the beast, thanks!

What about a 94 3 Door Prado ? Demand is 10.50 lakh. 3 liter, 1kz.
