“Beware of the barrenness of a busy life” said Socrates… And so we yielded… Relinquishing the comforts of the modern age and indulged in a short a trip leading us back in to time…a bit ironical to the original idea of the great philosopher…as we left the starkness of the metropolitan and ventured in to the desolate wilderness to be around the barrenness that Mother Nature has to offer. It was the sheer absurdity of the plan that made everyone come on board. Nothing compels us humans, more, than a resolve to surrender arms to a seduction so sublime, to simply get lost aimlessly – a short escape from the dreary routine.
Wonderful two day short trip merely because of the lovely company of the comrades of 4x4Engaged?
Started off early morning from Lahore...yes 7 A.M. is early morning by our standards
and reached the destination at around 1 P.M. after having a pit stop at Kallar Kahar rest area.
Desi style lunch ending with local delicacy of Suji and Gurdh ka Halwa. Proceeded to the play ground which presented us with an enjoyable terrain comprising of sand, rocks and muddy portions.
After evening tea at the terrain, proceeded to the village house for dinner and rest. Our very own Imran AKA Immi and Bilal AKA Billy senior prepared delicious BBQ for us which was a real treat after the long day.
After taking night's sleep the alternate way back route was taken in order to explore the terrain a bit more. Enjoyed the views of the Uchali lake and surrounding terrain.
