I have a better idea for Janj, since he has everything from a snowmobile to a Cherokee ...... he needs to buy a tractor now & dedicate it for recovery efforts

Impressive 'Show of Muscle', all these beautiful, and significant 4 Wheel vehicles. So, doesn't it come as a shock, when the ride is pulled out by a Tractor?
( Unless that is part of the club ! )

Could you not manage with sequential tugging or some other winching method?

The Bar-B-Q and the sunset also look superb.
I think it is the mood, rather than the occasion, that makes a happening memorable.

Yaar logo, I had about 450 pics of the evening/night in question, they were saved in my 250 GB WD Passport external HD. This HD contains all pics of my rallies since Cholistan 2008, all 4x4 Engaged events and many family pics. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

What happened is that the HD fell from the office table and now it is not being recognized by the computer. I checked it on other computers too. The light of HD blinks as if it is working normally, even it has the normal start up vibration but the data is not readable.<o:p></o:p>

I checked with Hafiz Center Guys, no one assures to recover the data. I am willing to pay the price but need the surety that the data can be safely recovered. Any one who could help in rescuing the data, loosing it would be an irreparable loss<o:p></o:p>

Janj and all, after seeing the video of the recovery, I'd like to share a personal experience I had recovering a stuck CJ-7, only that it had gotten stuck upfront in water & clay and all that created immense suction.

The suction plays a dirty part and conventional 'pull' doesnt help. We tried to recover it from an FJ, an LC 4.5, a 9000 lbs winch etc etc. Eventually a tractor was called in and that too on a pull alone did not set it free, it broke a recovery strap & a cable.

What we did in the end was a learning for us, 2 people on each side of the CJ started to rock it side by side while the tractor pulled. The rocking motion broke the suction hold and it came out fairly easy.

If you can give me the HDD, I will see if something can be done about it. If I would be able to do that, your HDD would be useable again and you'd have the data back. If anything otherwise, I'll let you know beforehand. From whereabouts in Hafeez Center did you check?

with the amount of effort put into the patrol i'd have slept next to it till she was rescued. i remember when my defender was stuck for only 3-4 hours and i was freaking,.. but this is what these 4x4's are all about,.. getting out there and getting dirty!

I'm sorry but you're being practical and that jeep is not properly stuck.
