I have been to Naran many a times. in better days when it was not so polluted and didn't represent a fish market in season. Had walked all the way up to Batakundi, up Lalazar and of course the Saif ul Maluk but this was the first time I had gone to Jalkhad and every step beyond
The mesmerizing beauty of Jalkhad went back doors when the inJun failed to start. The night at Jalkhad, with the tiresome DIY and still no life shown by inJun marked the end of my dream of driving beyond Naran this year, it seemed.
"we will change the fuel pump in the morning and it will start, don't worry. We are going to Babusar tomorrow. On inJun!" Can't forget the words JanJ told me good night.
Thanks to JanJ and Sync, we were up and running towards Babusar. The drive to Jalkhad from Naran, the whole 35Kms are amazing and the most beautiful drive. But I have to mark the climb to Babusar as one of my favourites. Amazing ascent, amazing road side scenery, amazing calm and a too beautiful top followed by an equally great descent into the Babusar valley before you hit Chilas.
Pictures can never capture what our eyes saw and what as beings we felt that day!
