This was the end of the routine marked track up to Rama. The lake bed was on our right side and we could see some fresh jeep tracks on the sand bed along side the lake. A point where anyone can reach on a SUV. We however, being 4x4Engaged?, decided to go further up and get our jeeps to a high point where no tyre marks would be present.
It was a demanding task and was noticed immediately. The traffic beyond this point had been minimal and we had to do major low speed big rock climbing to move further. That was handled aiight by our vehicles. And then Janj found the right spot at a great elevation and FJ followed.
Needless to say that you need a very well working transfer case to follow Janj we had to engage 4 Lo to get to the point of chosing. Now the snow covered peaks were right there, the local nomad settlement on our left, the lake on its right and we looking down on the lake. Amazing views!
Here is a pic to give a little perspective to our poisition at Rama Lake and the scale of the landscape.
