Only managed decent sales and road presence after they discounted the price. Especially on the 3.5 variant

Let's see how they price the Sportage now.
Don't have much hopes anyways, since all big brands know volumes are down compared to the past, and they're just increasing per unit margins

The Sportage HEV even upto 11.0 million will dominate the HEV market
And that way, it will also make sense to price regular variants around 9_9.5 million

It has been shared by dealership that the HEV price is 13 million PKR. If it is true it will fail badly.

Yes they are comparing it to santa Fe due to its size as it being an Long wheel varient. But 130 is a danger zone for Sportage HEV. I personally thought it to be around 110 but was disappointed to hear 130.

I'm not so sure if 13 million would be bad. It is comparable to (and in some cases better than) an H6 so priced similarly or just ahead would still mean it would have a place in the market.

But if they price it close to the Santa Fe then it would be a colossal mistake.

Flop at 13 million.

Many better options now available in the market.

Oshan X7 at 8.5 to 9 mil, then H6, then H6 HEV, Jolion HEV.

Lucky will kill it at such a high price.. don’t want it to become another Peugeot, Stonic, Sorento, Carnival and Picanto.

They failed at everything except Sportage which got success because of low price at launch and no other crossover competition.

What i doubt is that 130 price is what Kia will decide as they have to align with their own (Kia Carnival), even though its not a hot selling product for them but Kia team realize the market that "somehow" their Korean brand is above Chinese (Haval) and its also my opinion too, however i wont buy Sportage HEV on 130 (make it 100~110 and i am selling my current 2022 Fwd sportage to upgrade :-))

I'm not even saying this based on the brand name value. I own an H6 HEV myself now.

Based on the rumored specs, 5th Gen Sportage HEV will have a few more features compared to the H6 HEV, while being slightly larger so it wouldn't be odd if it's priced slightly above it as well.

santafe hybrid is 1.25. they will not place sportage above that. come on. these are all ridiculous numbers. cant be beyond 1.15 for hybrid sportage.

Anyone who expects kia to price the HEV at 11 million lives in a fool's paradise. Cant happen especially with a hybrid engine and all ADAS features.

I dont get the idea of launching the sportage with a hybrid engine. It will kill the purpose of sorento. If you want to compete with santa fe, you need to do it with your similar product, not a below category vehicle with extra features which is extremely absurd and utterly stupid. Kia has been a flop until now except their sportage, and looks like with the launch of their new sportage, they are going to make another blunder which will also make their hit sportage a flop.

Santa Fe launched at 149 and than had to reduce the price eventually to attract customers, what is the point of launching Sportage at 130 and than due to poor sales give out discounts.

Rather launch it at 110 and later due to good sales move it to 115 . LMC must be thinking it is a Jahaaaz and can sell at any price.

I was waiting for last three months for new launches otherwise i was booking H6 hev. First launch Jac t9. Good but group behind it ghandara was the reason to not buy it. 2nd sonata n line. Price very high. Now waiting for sportage but if its price will be 130 it will be no. Now i think i should not wait for tuscon as they will also price it near sportage. Lagta hai in the end i will buy h6 hev which is still very very good option plus its bigger in size than all other
