The galaxy is visible with naked eye but long exposures with cameras increase the intensity of light coming from the stars. For example, u see the stars for one moment but if same moment is captured continuously for 30 sec then its intensity increases 30 times.

Yes, u can try swimming away from water outlet.

Kalam ( Hotel) to Laddu Village (Jeep) : 2 hrs
Laddu Village to Kandol Lake ( By Foot): 3 Hrs.
Kandol Lake to Laddu Village (Back): 2 hrs
