Ok great as you have replaced it now and with a proper use it should last around 70-80k kms

I think this one will not last 70 80k. As I mentioned above I am not happy with the quality and Already I can see the clutch is not as good as it was with genuine set.

I was not happy with the heat insulation of my car roof even though I have original Japanese roof lining unlike Pak model with peace of cloth and not much on top of that to stop heat. Heard a lot about jumbolon bought it tested it under heat and its pretty good in stopping heat. Woke up at 5 am and did this DIY.

Vaqas can you tell me how much does these days clean 7afe coil one costs with manual gear complete wiring ecu etc in pindi? A friend wants to instal it in his 98 corolla having 4afe atm which is dead

That will be around 60 to 70 after giving ur old engine. Ask him to get 1nz FE with auto corolla X gear that will cost him same but consumption drive is better plus auto and its a vvti new model engine chain driven . But u need good mechanic and electrition. Expect total expense to near 80k to 85k.

Yeah but 1nz would need alteration in mounts etc. 7afe sits easily in it but finding one in clean conditon is a real job.

Adding STP to gear oil did not work in my case. I have Suzuki Khyber whose gear was having noise "goonj"
Upon mechanic's recommendations I changed gear oil to thick one (PSO) and then added STP, although I was reluctant. It didn't work and in order to get rid of noise I finally changed the gear box. Added ZIC FF 75W-85 afterwards.

Yes and sadly no one can fix this.Maybe its just a bearing noise but they say opening it makes it worst. I noticed most manual gears got some noise I Was surprised to see our office car that is 50k driven had gear noise in first or 2nd gear. Putting qabli gear its a brack breaking work than no gurantee of silent one. I kno some one who changed 7 gears to get a noiseless one than he settled for 7th noisy one .

BTW I like C52 transmission, It pulls better, Shifts better and much better than C51 of 5AFE. In fact I feel its kinda easier to drive and Might be giving better mileage. But why Toyota opted for short gear Transmission like C52 for a engine that has ample low end torque and mounted C51 to an engine (5AFE) that has comparatively weak torque.

I told one of the old engine dealer in Pindi to get me 7AFE gear he was like aik he hota hai when I told him he was surprised and than there no clear way to determine which one you are getting they both look identical and no model no on them.

Yes, you are right. Once gear develops a noise, it does not go away. In other countries, they have original brand new gear kits which are installed in gear box. Before opting for kabli gear box, I visited many khiraad shops which deal exclusively with gear. They said that the noise appears when gear teeth loose polish. They all were having used gear kits and the price was equal to kabli gear box. When you install a kabli gear box, it has check warranty. Strangely the noise does not appear instantly, it starts coming after two or three weeks when you have made the payment. Kaabli is luck and in case of gear boxes its mostly not on your side.

The recommended gear oil for your car is 75W-85. Mechanics love to pour thick gear oil like PSO 140 but that is not for this car. Khyber gear box is very difficult to find nowadays. If some shop has it, the shopkeeper will ask insane price i.e 25-45K and that too for a civil one (locally used). My mechanic was against it as the gear box has most probably completed its life already. Another option was given to me by a machinist. He said he will open the gear box and will change the internal kit with Kabli kit. Cost around 10K. Third option is Suzuki Cultus Kabli gearbox (Japanese). Its easily available and the cost is…

2. In some of your thread you changed your condenser to multiflow one , Which car's/model of condenser you are using and how much air conditioning has improved.

3.You have changed rear drums to discs, which value you have also changed?
