7JJ wide Rims are ok for city 2016?

i have just purchased rims which are 15Inch 100X4 PCD and width is 7JJ.
previously i was using steel rims and tire profile was 195/65/15. now i feel that rims are a bit wide. i am using the same old tires.
just wants to know that 7JJ width is ok for city and it will not ruin the suspension.

Rims are Monoblock Ultra light weight. its even lighter than steel rim.

More wide RIMs will exert more pressure due to being offset outwards creating extra pressure on Lower suspension (Chimta bushes) , Z link and Shocks. The shock absorbing will also be reduced due to bulge reduction in tyre side wall which usually acts as cushion. This in turn causes Tie rod ends to wear prematurely.
Above all the ride comfort will be compromised a lot

Already tried and tested as i kept brand new city from 2012 to 2016 and drove it from 0 to 94000 kms.

Better to get new or used OEM Aspire city Alloy Rims otherwise remain on Stock ones.

and upsize strictly to

195/60-R15 or 185/65-R15 (These sizes falls with 3% allowable deviation as per Tyre uppsize calculator).

Attached pics for reference. I think tire is also Fat type. As rim is still inside but tire body is so wide.

Don't see it like the rim looks to be parallel to fender line it is outward offset and thats why the tyre is almost one tred width outside fender and bumper line. I have an extensive research and already tested. Your road noise especially onHighway & motorway will increase a lot along with other disadvantages I mentioned above.

I shifted from stock tyres first 195/60-R15 (0 meter)
after Six months to alloy Rims 6.5 JJ (around 25000km) Ruined my drive although the handling was way much improved and tail wag wanished.
At 60000 kms shifted to Stock Aspire Alloy Rims and Guess (Maza hi AA gia.). As i was looking for the used ones since start but they were way expensive then.

This is for your reference only as per my experience and observation after keeping it brand new for 4 years. Rest again its your choice as to choose between aesthetics or practicality.

well, brother ur very much right. the road noise has increase although i am using same old tires. but on the same time road grip and handling has improved. since rims are ultra light weight so they are not giving a tough/heavy sound on khadas

frankly the overall car look has been improved and car is giving a more wide body look so i am planning to use them for 5-6 months and then switch to 6JJ rims ot 6.5JJ max. with tires 196/60/15. My traveling is within ISB or moterway only

Thats Great but do plan for original OEM Thai Aspire Rims. You won't regret it. You will get those in 15 to 16K along with replacement of your existing ones and believe me you will fall in love with the drive of your car.

Sir, the loss in road comfort depends on:
a - car being applied to (e.g. city has less absorption capacity than corolla)
b - daily driven track/route
c - choice of tyres (to some extent)

Its a long debate..... I have a thorough knowledge on this topic and i have explained in Tyres and rim Thread all the details..... in short particularly for the understanding, the Rims in your Civic are NEGATIVE OFFSET.

Experienced members have already explained in detail. My take is that 6.5” should be good but don’t exceed 7” if unavoidable
