7th PakWheels Karachi auto show ended on a high note!

Problem is that people want this for free. which is not possible. There are investors for this - but there is almost zero count of people what will want to pay the fee to use the track,

Participating in Motorsports is quite expensive at many levels, and paying for good tracks in one of the many expenses.

he was the owner of Sakrand Sugar Mills & a very dear close friend from US School days.

He developed a 2.5 km race track over his 12 acre of land, approx 5.7 km ahead of Pakistan Steel Mills on National Highway. Then built a 1971 Nissan 1600 SSS from scratch in Karachi with help of Apollo Motors Karachi for that track, he is a hardcore DIY guy.

at that time membership was Rs. 5000, & for 30 minute practice run a member has to pay Rs. 500 at that thime. Also every time there was an event on that place. an ambulance, a fire tender & a police mobile was stationed.. Roonie Patel, Salman Khawaja and many present day rally drivers know that place & Tausif as pioneer of motor sports in Pakistan.

Sad to see tragedy at Karachi show but what i have seen of so-called auto show in pak thru media is nothing but a g2g of cars most of them long past their sell-by date and poorly organized by youths and volunteers and not by event management professionals,

Below is a short video scene from the Lamborghini India Giro held first week of this December in two southern states involving travel of 300km from Bangalore to Ooty. Every auto show or meet In India is carefully choreographed by the organizers along with police and local authorities,

You are considered one in a million count, if the track only has customers in tens then the usage fee gets out of hand.

PakWheels first karachi show had 200 entry fee and i recall multiple suicide happen on the forums 🥶

Bro the owner of the car is more at fault imo. Yes the PW management should've had ambulances and fire trucks on standby but the owner put everybody's lives at jeopardy because of his stupid flame kit. Pakwheels management should've been more strict with what cars they are allowing into the venue like Suneel bhai said.

You're right that owner was at fault but it happens everywhere in the world.
I'm actually disappointed because i thought pakwheels was trying to act like a company that operates like a civilized and responsible business but unfortunately everybody at the show is on their own. No body cares because it's Pakistan!

There's no place for freebie diggers in such event & it shouldn't be.

Nothing is impossible untill you give up..
People are willing to invest in if you have a proper idea for proper track
Automotive companies will be Interested in investing as it's great way to promote their business
For such a project you might get sponsored by Tyre manufacturer company Mobile oil companies etc

It isn't only going to be used as a race track but it can also be the best place for Automotive event
