AoA civic guys. Im new here.. new in the civic world... ive kept a vario city previously for 4 years and then shifted to JDMs... and now ive decided to buy a reborn....Ive a few questions... will be grateful for ur input...

a) model doesnt matter but in a budget of 130k... can I get a clean reborn in karachi?
b) what are the weak areas of the car which I need to check before buying??
c) how much would the ownership transfer cost me? (filer)
d) whats the average i can get out of a properly tuned car within city with light foot and AC on?
e) ANYONE knows any clean reborn for sale kindly update here...

v) Look for vibrations or noises you might find abnormal.

As for average. A medium foot gives you 8. A light foot might take you to 8.5 to 9 inside city. Not more then that. Highways can fetch you 13 km/l (@120 kph) to 17 km/l (@90 kph)

oil mounting you mean the oil sump under the engine or some other area???

by adjuster/tensioner u mean the pulley type structure which tightens the belt going around generator and ac compressor???

power steering feed pipe location under the hood or inside the car under the steering wheel???

Oil mount means the engine mount towards the top right side of the car.

Yes, regarding what you say about the tensioner.

Power steering feed pipe is towards the right side of the engine (slightly behind it), not inside the car.

Suspension has been solid, in my experience, after I had it overhauled when I bought my 2007 Civic a couple of years back. Its pretty hard though, if you are used to soft suspensions.

The reason we call it oil mounting is because it is a hydraulic engine mount. The other two are solid iron mounts in 8th generation.

I wanted to know from where I can get original iridium spark-plugs for a 2007 Civic Hybrid from Rawalpindi or Islamabad? If anyone can guide me towards a good shop, I would really appreciate it. Is Indus Motors in Saddar a good shop to get the spark plugs from as they deal mostly in Mercedes and BMW spares? The plugs I'm looking for are "NGK Iridium Spark Plugs LFR6AIX-11", for reference.

If the number is ending with 'IX', it has to be Iridium IX series not the Laser Iridium series. Per my experience, the Iridium IX series is generally harder to find here in Karachi, although I don't know about ISB/RWP.

I am actually searching for two sets of spark-plugs so I might've gotten a bit confused; the LFR6AIX-11 and the ILFR6J-11K. I'll buy the set that I can find easily because both are very good spark plugs from my experience. Right now, I've had no luck in finding either one of them. Will go to Honda Center tomorrow and inquire from them.

Also what should be frequency to change brake oil ??

Automatic transmission does not have a clutch plate like manual that can be changed. It needs only oil change at every 40,000 kilometres

Bro you're in TROUBLE

faced this problem recently... the shock boots cost around 5000 , but they usually crack when another component called 'OIL MOUNTINGS' go bad which alone cost around 16000 .. if the oil mountings need replacement n u just get the shock boots changed , they'll crack again.. very soon... get your car checked from a reputable 3S dealership n try to get them changed under warranty if yr car is less than 5 yrs old..

i went to Honda Point for oil change n balancing n the guy said the shock boots need repalcemnt , but did not say a word about oil mountings.. when i went to honda fort (from where i get the major repairs done) they were to ones to diagnose the root cause .. point is go to the best place available in yr locality.....

Old reply but I need some info. Today I found that my shock boot are also torn, the guy at Honda said mounting and boot need to be replaced and total cost is around 11500. I was thinking of delaying it by 2 weeks as it needs 2.5 hrs around and I have to also go out of station on during eid holidays. Is this feasible ? To wait for another 2 weeks ? I dont know how long it has already been since they are torn.

Oh forgot the main thing, it is mentioned warranty ? and that if car is less than 5 years old. Yeh kia scene hey ? I though warranty was only 2 years ? I have late 2012 model.

hi bought a civic reborn 8th generation used 2010. Upon driving at night come to know about serious scratches on wind screen due to dry/dirty vipers may have been used.. all front coming lights reflects in different directioms due to that. Can any one pls suggest the way foreward or letme know from where i can get screen changed. I need prices urgently. thanks
