Hey guys!
Recently my Civic 8th Gen clocked 50,000kms and it was time for its tuning. Since I have heard a lot of good reviews about Liqui Moly Products, therefore, I finally decided to try them on this car. So I opted for 10w-40 and 240ml of Cera Tec (Calculated according to the engine size). Furthermore, I got hold of the original K&N air filter to replace the old one. Got the throttle body and plugs serviced, wheel balancing, alignment and also checked for any fault codes recorded in the ECU. The pictures below shows the products for reference:
I also decided to upgrade the head unit with an after market android unit. I have previously tested the OEM android display of Toyota Grande and connected it successfully with an OBD2 adapter to get the live feedback from the ECU through a dedicated application called Torque Pro. Hence, I installed Torque Pro in Civic's Head unit and here are the pictures from the upgrade:
The performance of Torque Pro with the OBD2 Wifi adapter is quite good, there is hardly any noticeable delay in the output. However, the OBD2 port location in this Civic is hard to reach, that's why I used an extension cable to make my life easier whilst plugging/Unplugging it.
Cheers!
