Clean 8th gen civics are not less then 13 lakhs, the ones for 11 or 12 need quite maintenance to come up to standard.

I see. So, what car should I recommend to them? They can't spend more than 11 lacs and the car needs to be automatic. Not interested in small hatchbacks/Japanese Kei cars etc. Is it possible to get the current shape City (2010 model Maybe?)?

City also will be in very bad condition in this price range. Better look for clean vitz 2007-2010. Else if you want to go for automatic sedan then you can get 2005-6 civic oriel auto clean car in this price.

I see. Is it possible to find a clean 2009-10 XLI in this price if automatic is not a priority? The relative is aged and has been driving a manual car all their life and I want that to change, but they also want something fairly new (a 6-7 years old car). Is a 2008 City (previous shape) a good option?

You can get a good one in 11 lakh
Market is really down really really down
In 11 lakhs you can het a really good vti prosmetic 2007 2008 model
And in oriel you can get a good maintained car but will be with touching
Parts are really cheap so dont mind buying a car which may have have some work recquired

Yeh that car is also good buy 2006-2008 city auto in immaculate condition can be found for 10.

Thank you. Having 1 or 2 pieces repainted isn't much of a problem considering the car is 10-11 years old now and Pakistan doesn't have the best of road and traffic conditions either. Airbags should be intact and there shouldn't be any major damage.
Should I go to showrooms to check out cars or browse on pakwheels listings? I'm looking to get a good deal, so what would you recommend? I'm based in Islamabad, so car should be ISB registered.

I have a 2007 Civic Hybrid myself and thought I should get one for the relative too because the car has been reliable considering I've driven it 170k kms now and it's totally Honda Center maintained.

fix an appointment with Honda Avenue, & once u arrive there let them know about your issue, if that particular chasis is not yet upgraded, they'll replace with new airbags free of cost in 20 minutes

I'm facing a serious noise issue with my civic. The thing is I got the Tyres changed and the cat con broken at the same time. Now I have replaced the broken cat con with the local manufactured one. Dholki as they call it. The car still sounds like a helicopter in high speed.

Honda 3s says its the bearing that's causing the sound.
My alignment wala (Ehsan pretty famous in Lahore) without even hearing the sound asked me if it's making sound and according to him it's the Tyre.
According to me it's the Dholki which is still not proper.

How do I figure out the exact issue is bothering me.

good reborns are very rare to find in isb pindi 07 08 model will cost upto 1250 to 1350 easy one two piece touch which is fine 09 10 model upto 14 1500 and 11 12 goes to wopping 16 1650 lacs easy neat clean cars i just got 11 model silver color isb reg auto 98k driven one piece touch spent 20k on all the oils and fluids major issues are engine mount needs replacement typical reborn problem bumpers needed to repainted side mirrors needed to painted and that one body part which is painted by honda isb needs a repaint as it doesnt match extremely dirty needs detailing as well other then that car is okay new pads and tyres were installed by previous owner few dings and dangs here and there but i paid accordingly and got a good deal Alhamdulillah no worries about resale as no plans of changing till 2020... plus its a good upgrade from 1.3 corolla gli 05...

When car is started after 2-3 days or after rains, why do the brakes squeak a bit? The brakes have hardly been run 2k km. They even look fine and perform fine.
Is the squeaking normal during braking in above scenario?
