Hey Guys!

I have recently joined Pakwheels. I am looking for a car, preferably a Honda Civic 8th Gen. I wanted to know that is it a good car or not. I WOULD PREFER UNBIASED REVIEWS. I would like to know its maintenance costs, petrol mileage etc. I would probably be getting a Honda Civic Vti Oriel V-tec Prosmatic version. I would also like to know that does it compare with the Honda Accord 2003-2004 models, in terms of features, maintenance costs, petrol mileage etc.

Civic is very good car, and i think its the best sedan car among all PKDM.
and if you are willing to buy civic 8th gen. then chek some basic things which every body know very well but 1 important thing is Catalytic Converter. Chek it before buying. Because new cost is 77 k.
Maintainance cost is not too much high.
And if we talk about features then accord have its own charm, but there is not too much difference between their features.
Normal fuel average is 9-10 km/l if car is well maintained.

It is easy to check if you know the location or any expert honda mechanic can do it.. when I was buying a used Civic couple of months ago ..me and the seller agreed to get it inspected thoroughly from Honda 3S in rawalpindi .. the catalytic converter was missing and steering feed pipe needed replacement .. 100k kharcha was due on the car so I was saved before hand ...

besides 3S some 2S honda dealership can also check the car for you for minimal charges.

Sir if its choked there will be sluggishness in pick and on ac it will drive a 1300cc car this means ita choked gears will shift at high rpm and 1300cc can beat u in pick and race

If its been removed than u would have a phatti hoi sound coming from the car like bhar bhar

Can any body suggest me which Break and Gear oil shoul use in 8th gen civic?
I have read here on p.w that its recommended to use Honda genuine oil but some people are saying that Honda is not making fluids, they also purchase from 3rd party.
So which brand and quality or grade should use?

i gues round about 28k . may be inaccurate. its a rough idea.

in city witout ac . max 9.5 km/l .. tuning , spark plugs , filters all checked. using caltex fully synthetc 5w 30. its prosmatec. 13k driven

It was 25k. Thankfully mine was just fine. They just cleaned it and put it back and engine light is gone now.

I get her filled up from F6 Caltex but once they were out of petrol so I had no other option so filled her up from shell F6. After driving about 400 km the light came on and mechanics said it was due to carbon on the sensor. So good quality fuel is very important for this car.

My Honda city is not giving this much milage. I doubt ur calculation is wrong.
Share us how u calculate and ur driving habit. How much RPM u drive and speed ?
