I don't really think so but there is slight vibration on idle in car when AC is turned on. How to check it?

Mine Manual 2011 also has slight vibration with AC on.I also drove a prosmatic with same behaviour .i think this is normal

Vibration is mainly due to faulty engine mount

1. can i put say Rs 2500 hi-octane and the remaining super/regular petrol??
2. What effect would this have on the catalytic converter? Is it true that it would prevent catalytic converter from getting dirty?

bhai you can have a look at it urself there should be big gap between mount and upper plate

if there is no gap or minimum gap engine vibration transferred to car

our Hi octance octance level is not as per Honda recommendation for this engine

From what iv gathered around here, theres a way to check the mount fault. All u hav to do is take ur key and put it between that gap. If it fits in quite easily, ur all good to go. If NOT, ur mount needs replacing.

Also, will you be kind enough to enlighten me how much a "tuning" should set me back? I was also told to replace the Power Steering fluid the last time I got my car checked (there were no leaks), how much does that cost from Honda 3S?

I bought the car used like 8 months back but it has only been driven 3k since then (it had around 60k on the odo then). I'm not sure what kind of a maintenance-schedule this car was on under the previous owner, so what should I be getting checked? I was told of a "general check up" the last time around, any idea of what that includes?

Oh I'm really sorry I missed your post somehow.
I got my car's engine mount checked from Honda centre yesterday. 105k driven and engine mount is still perfect Alhamdulillah :). So vibration on AC is normal in M/T civics I guess.

Bro there is no need to replace your steering fluid before 80k kms. Tuning will cost you around 2-3k. If car is running fine and you are not facing mileage/pick issues, I will suggest to get it tuned on 80k maintenance. Get it tappets adjusted and throttle body cleaned for your own satisfaction. I did the same on 60k when I had bought the car. Fortunately my car was in good hands previously and came with service history so I was not that much worried.
General checkup includes whole car checkup and they charge 1100-1200 for that. They tell you what needs to be replaced and what not. That's all.
