Hello guys,
Just upgraded from civic 04(A/T) to 2011(A/T). The car clocks 59k and I have just got the following things done:
1. Throttle body serviced.
2. Injectors cleaned- (ultrasonic)
3. Oil changed- ZIC A+( Im hoping its fully synthetic)
4. Air filter changed
5. Plugs changed (iridium- Honda recommended)
6. Wheel Alignment (excluding balancing)
Ok having mentioned all this , though I?m pretty sure these topics must have been covered in one of the forums/pages ,I have two queries which i`d like your valuable input on:
a) The car is giving a mileage of 6.5-7kms/ liter , with RPM remaining within 3000 at almost all times. It is pertinent to mention It is pertinent to mention that I drive with a light foot and have tried different acceleration/driving styles.
b) Have a strange hauling noise which I,m assuming is because of those Eurostar tires or one of the wheels. Although while going through the forum It has come to my knowledge that the engine mount can be one of the reasons but im ruling it out at the moment on account of no vibration at speeds ranging between 0-130 km/hr. Suggest me the deal with Honda is still on and if I should consider having it changed .
Please correct me if the above stated fuel average is true to this specific model (8th gen) and that if anything can be done for its improvement (mechanical/technical), please be noted that the above mentioned service items were done to improve the fuel average/regular maintenance and were to the best of my knowledge. One more that I wanted to have done but wasn?t sure about ,was changing of the transmission oil as the guy at the Honda part store said it will take about 3-4 liters however what I read on the internet was that the entire flush out takes about 7 liters to be replaced.
Suggestions are also welcome.
