I have finally decided to change the engine and gear. For that i need some information about the 3L engine. The existing set up of differentials is that the rear diff is in the centre and the front one is on the right side. Means like that of parado and SSR brands. For 3L i need to know the following.

1. price of engine
2. price of it's original gear
3. fuel consumption @ a speed of 100
4. power in low gears
5. it's maintenance

Also what about 2LT. The vehicle weighs around 2000KG's.

3L is a very good engine but now a days its very difficult to find it (JDM USED ONE ). mostly you will find the one removed from lotS of Hiace and hilux who have opted the swap to petrol . (AND MOST OF THE SHOP KEEPERS HAVE REDONE THE ENGINE)

Its consumption is around 7-8 km/litre.
It wil easily support your rig.
Easy to maintain .

and 2L turbo is also very good option and wil also help you in saving some money in terms of its good fuel average.

After the zero sized RAIG MAAL, today it was compound polished. The result was good.

In the evening today, i tested the movement of tyres on both ends fully stretched. After that a friend's stock suzuki jimny LWB was also tested on the same spot. This was the max stretch which both the vehicles had downwards. See the results yourself.

The only problem is with the gear and i believe no other geat will fit with the existing engine (pls correct me if i am wrong). The first and second gear are very low speed. You have to shift it in 2nd just after moving in first. Let's see what i do. Any suggestions from the experts will be appreciated in this regard.

Great Vehicle just in whatever condition it is....
Still, fitting a new engine is not a problem at all.
whether with this or another gear box. Fitting a gear box also is not a problem. But don't do it, is my opinion.

start the vehicle in 2nd gear. its perfectly fine with these heavy/torqy engines, no need for the first, unless offroading.

Got the gear serviced and refixed.

Did some denting of the rear mirror holders.

The door locks of all 5 doors opened and repaired. Also this was the only piece which was requiring denting.
