such cars are left to rot on the roadside for years, their parts stolen, someone in an urgency may use it as a toilet..yet with the best of intentions speak to its owner and WHAM!!!!!!!! all of a sudden its the most sought off car in the world with probably the last viceroy having used it for his daughters wedding or something and an asking price in 6 or 7 figures...
I was after a Ford Anglia (I think a mid 50's model)for a long time and the owner told me stories of how a Gora offred him a brand new corolla and all...I am talking early 1990's. I was willing to pay 50K in those days and he demanded 200k.. I gave up. Turns out he eventually sold it for 35k!
