A/C Compressor Shaft Seal Replacement

i got it repaired from tariq road near the tiptop drycleaner. yeah the seal + wall chamber thing costed me 3k. gas i thnk 2k. dryer 1k orignal denso. and original sa singaporian condenser for 2600. i saw the local chinese one. he said that the gas will be leaked from that in days due to poor welds at the joint. the compressor is i think the orignal japnese one which came with the car. it is 86 suzuki swift. sa310 i think. i got it turbo charged. anyways i needed some advice regarding the money i spend on the ac. i wnt to the shop at 4pm and returned back to my home at 2 am .. complete overhaul

Salam Bro firstly I introduce my self I belongs to sanden(Japan) company this company have joint venture with Pakistan by the name of SANPAK ENGG it's headoffice is in lahore and customer service center is in Karachi which deals with Paksuzuki and Honda with all their dealers in Pakistan.

Bro regarding your problem My advise is never go on repairing in compressor case, If you want to save any inconvenience just replaced it with new because Sanden compressors are in reasonable rates with warranty and tension free.

These Local Sanden compressors are not famous in market. The imported Japanese one's worked well. IF Sanden Pak wants to help people of Pak they should introduce some new scroll type compressor models.

Bro we are not advising for any repairing in compressor case because no one knows about its life. I suggest For saving any inconvenience just go for new, save the time and give the best to customer...

If a system is showing very good measurements of sub cooling or superheating and have good running pressure, no noise in the compressor unit but have a shaft seal problem you wont sell the seal? How is that even acceptable? Would you change your car if you broke the windshield on it?

No problem if you cannot supply it - People can buy the seal from elsewhere (e.g. outside of Pakistan). Very easily too.

btw - if your firm is advertising itself as all and mighty for Sanden in Pakistan then please also cater to the small parts supply - I personally have not found even a replacement pigtail wiring harness for your compressors. I believe you would advise to buy a replacement at that time too.

The rest of the world DOES replace that seal. The compressor is only replaced when its truly worn out or damaged, there are proper tests for determining a compressors efficiency.

another similar example is diesel injector nozzles, you determine their working by testing it on a test bench, if faulty the nozzle tips are replaced - The manufacturer does sell the tips and also a complete rebuilt unit - They dont fully rely on just selling rebuilts - there market will quickly close.

This guy is saying that no-one knows the life of their compressors (including themselves I think) - hence the decision not to sell field service parts.

there was one thing i wanted to ask. how can i check the actual cooling of my car. that is the cooling is there in full scale. measure kaisa kru ? i want to see that weather my car is doing or performing its cooling job perfectly. the vent is throwing cold air duh. the pipe i dont know which one is that is icy cold. and i installed a fan but due to lack of space at the front i installed it at the back. infront of engine bay. but i want to check the performance of my ac i hope you are getting what i am trying to say.

test gauges, thermometer on the vent, fresh intake and line temperature too (use an infrared thermometer for this)

The entirety also depends on climate temperature where the vehicle is being tested.

i know the cooling is awesome but still there remains a doubt that weather the ac is performing its cooling at it best.. can you tell me what is fresh intake and line ??

to fully test the A/C - measure high and low pressure while reading the thermometer placed on evaporator vent, also measure the temperature of the evaporator air intake. So you know your delta.

Surprised to see that in 3 years nobody responded to your post. It seems in Pakistan we don't have many keen car enthusiasts who know what they are driving, inside out. Hence ustaad-shagird nexus is happy and flourishing like mushrooms in a jungle.
