i dont think that would be effective
cox once bonnet is opened even if it makes noise,they'll quickly remove the wires
whenever i sit in car,most of the times it makes noise because of auto lock option n no1 around u or in market really cares

Well awais bhai ! At least by Making one Loud Noise when its parked at home, will alert the Sleepy Heads!!

Sometimes it happens when cat jumps on to the car & alarm activates, or when sencors feel any other Jerk . But its for some seconds.But when someone opens the door then it wont stop unless the Button on remote is pressed. For disconnecting the wires the Clippers should be of Best Quality & Firmly Attached,at least it will take some more time. & last but not least, may be the thief isn't expecting it.

some1 told me that he did some alterations to his swift,which was that he made a chor switch,i dont remember the details,but it was like which was directly from battery or something extended till inside the car at which ever place u want,n until u switch that on,no matter they direct the wires or whatever they cant start the car,but i couldnt understand how to explain it to the electrician

so far em using steelmate 2 way lock
steering lock
gear lock ( with handbrake)
+ the most effective thing which is to keep some1 in car always whenever parked outside anywhere

Well its a relief that they got their car back atleast. So guys here's my story. My car toyota corolla (ST-91) black 2.0D 2010 model was stolen from my house on Nov 29th 2010 the same way as the above car. we tried everything but had no luck. now wait here's the catch, ON 19th APRIL 2011, i spotted my car in saddar Rawalpindi, it was bearing a lahore number with LEGAL/ORIGNAL PUNJAB plates (LE-10-649) I chased it and guess what, The car stopped at the house of (ex DG ISI) GENERAL RETD HAMID GUL's daughter, UZMA GUL (owner of VARAN travel in Rawalpindi). I called up my father and we tried to talk it out with that ***** Lady, but she was reluctant to talk or even negotiate as she said her husband was out of pindi, when he returns then we can sort it out. Our badluck was that my father didn't call the police as he trusted her words as she was the daughter of HAMID GUL (ex DG ISI). now cutting the story short, they sent the car somewhere else, the car was sent the very next day it was spotted and the case is still going on in the court.

the sad part is that our beloved police is afraid to even ask them as she is the daughter of a general. Everything we tried is in vain. Ye tou halat hai hamaray mulk k hafizon ki..

Is the old shape of corolla (2009-2011) also being targetted my car thief/lifter/snatchers??.

as i thought that maybe the car thieves are only looking for new models or atleast it shouldnt be more than 2yeras old, otherwise it is not feasible for them to snatch and then try to cross the borders of karachi or Pakistan

Word is the 'theives' sell these corollas for 1.5lac a piece in Peshawar! Insurance companies these days are willing to pay the thieves the same amount for not stealing insured cars as otherwise they pay the customer a full 15 to 20lac

thank u bro..its v sad to see that evyday 2 to 3 corollas r stolen nd our police can't even do a single thng abt it..duplicate registered cars are roaming in every city nd no one is there to catch them..I lost 1.5 million Rs and it wasnt even insured..it was the hard earned money of my father..Evyday sumone losses a car..And our law enforcing agencies are asleep..:@

And let me tell you one thing, u guys must have noticed that the number of punjab and sindh registered cars is increasing in islamabad day by day, 30% of the cars are having duplicate numbers, especially corollas n mehrans..i hv done alot of research on it and my stats r quite ryt..and half of the no 2 cars are owned by officers nd reknowned ppl...SAD BUT TRUE...

Take your tyre off with you and leave the car on jack stand overnight or bricks.i use to do this when ever i have to park my car in Murree hotel parking.Take my stepney and rear tyre with me in my room.So who will try to make my car take away with 3 tyres unless he comes on a car and uses his own stepney....
