This yaer i was planning to visit Kaghan valley , but after watching yours images and experience I am thinking to change my plan.
would u plz guide me:
Timeing Lahore to Muzzarabad?
Muzzarabad beyond approchable my car ALTO?
Gas/petrol availability
Road condition?
Time taken?
stay availabily of hotels etc?
weather temperture?
Family travel?

here are the answers of your questions in the order you posted them:

its 10-12 hrs journey from lahore to muzafarabad

yes, you can go till Kel on your car, after that its jeepable track till taobut...

petrol will be available in towns like athmuqam, kundal shahi, sharda and kel... not sure about cng... its better to make your fuel tank and cng completely filled from muzafarabad...

road condition is pretty bad

muzafrabad to sharda (7-8 hrs).. sharda to kel (2-3 hrs with stays on picturistic spots)...kel to taobut (4-5 hrs with stays)

reasonable accommodation is available to stay even with family in athmuqam, kundal shahi, dowarian, sharda and kel...

weather is very pleasant.. little cold at night..

you can travel with family...

so guys let me continue from where i left... its day 3 of our journey and we have reached in taobut before evening... our plan was to spend a night here in the only available hotel here... due to less facilities i would not recommend anyone to stay with family here...

taobut is really a beautiful place...after throwing our luggage in the room we started walking along side gagai nala (a.k.a kamri nala)... we went maybe a half kilometer ahead, took some pics and went back because it was getting dark.... we also tried to catch trout fish but we were not able to catch even a single one so we bought few from the local boys right after they caught you will see them in the pics... but we found no one there to cook them for us we made them cook by roti wala there and i know that how i ate it

main nay suna hay k kel say agay indian army k hold hay kia ye theek hay ?
or private jeeps available hain wahan like muzaffarabad to sharda n kel to taobut...!

Sharda to kel is almost 2 hrs... kel to taobut is 3-3.5 hrs...
indian army hold??? absolutely not...who said this crap

I have visited Neelum after crossing the bridge at Gagai Nala...

There was a solitude... I was alone.. after some time I heard the voice of Jeep Horn... They were waiting for me...

I rushed back...

i have seen honda civic there in kel during my trip... i have also attached that pic in some previous post... but the guy with the civic was not happy as he was cursing the roads... not sure about current conditions... i don't think that there are any improvements considering the last year's flood factor too...

i think people go but car ki ma bhen ek ho jati hai chali to wahan mehran bhi jati hai... lekin ye sab cars siraf kel tak ja sakti hein....only jeep after kel...
