1) u cant book Natco from Lahore, u have to go to Pindi, Perwadhai More, then take a public transport that will drop u at Natco office. Its better if u get the advance booking that means u can take the ticket for the next day travel.
2) when u reach glgit, you can easily get a hiace that leaves after every 15 minutes for Hunza, as the road is broken from the mid, it takes around 4 hours to reach Hunza, Karimabad. From karimabad u take public transport to Aliabad, from where again hiace travels to Gilgit after every 15 minutes, do remember that the hiace starts from 8 am and the last hiace leaves at around 3 pm.
3) from Karimabad you can get a hiace or a jeep that takes around 100 to 150 that will take you to eagles nest crossing, jeep will take around 15 to 25 minutes from there its i heard was a 30 minutes walk. i dont know about the stay at Eagles nest, i guess the rent of the room will be higher up there, i also heard that you can camp in the garden of eagles nest hotel. i suggest you to stay in karimabad because its just fascinating to watch all the valley from your tarace and Rakaposhi as well
you get all the fascilities at karimabad and there are alot of hotels there that are really cheap, we saw a couple hotels that had some drawbacks like no hot water tabs but they were offering us for 400 with three single beds , tv cable etc. We rejected them and stayed at Hotel Blue Moon, that cost us only 500 rs with a double bed and a single bed, and alot of space so we 5 easily slept , got the matresses from the hotel owner and we also used the kitchen to make our food for free as well. i do suggest you to stay at hotel blue moon, the owner is very friendly and has plenty of experience in trekking as well.
4) Natco timings from Pindi to gilgit are
1) 11.30 pm
2) 1pm
3) 4pm
4) 7pm
the bus for hunza leaves at i guess 2 pm and it only travels once a day. the rent is 2040rs for hunza and 1640 for gilgit, we got student tickets costing 1000 per person, there is no special package when you are coming back from gilgit to pindi .
5) if u want to go to Diran hotel, i need to go to Minapin , if u are coming from gilgit , they will drop you at minapin bypass, from there you will have to walk for over 4 hours to reach Diran hotel, its a very very long time walk in my opinion. its better to hire a jeep from karimabad that takes around 2000rs if u negotiate with them , we gave 2300 rs without negotiating
and do promise the jeep driver that he will get your seats booked in from Hunza so that when you come back from the trek you get the seats from minapin to gilgit at ease, the driver will book your seats and you will have to go to rakaposhi view point hotel from where the hiace coming from hunza will pick you up.
6) the diran hotel rates are as follows
1400 rs
1600 rs
1800 rs
its the best hotel with all the great facilities. i heard they had a camp site but i cant confirm it
