Given SHERDIL'S REVIEW, wudnt it be stupid to buy an Rx8 !

Facts;
1 ) it costs almost the same

2 ) its rotary, generates a lot of heat & wears out quickly as compaered to combustion engines !

3 ) it slower than the 350z

4 ) its slower, less hp, less torque but consumes more petrol !

5) its a GT car, a tourer.....the 350z has a bigger gas tank but the rx8 has a small one even though it has a worse fuel economy when compared to the nissan !

6 ) the rx 8 doesnt work well in warm countries esp pakistan where as u wont get much complains abt it in cold countries !

7 ) both have 3 year warranty vut rx8 has unlimited miles and nissan has 100,000.....why bother when a rotary engines die out after 100.000 even if u take care of it ! and a car doesnt remain the same after 100,000 kms so u can count this out !!!

As much as i love the rx7 and the rx8, this just doesnt make any sense !!!
anything u ppl wud like to add ?

im not being biast or anything but the new 350z is a lot better, the old one was a bit senseless 280hp out of 3.5l engine...thats ridicilous !!!

the new one gives a better output around 300hp, which is respectable for a 3.5L engine ! Above all its natural aspiration ! U dont have to use forced induction to make it go faster like in the evo !

BMW believes natural aspiration is the right way to go & turbo engines currently being used by BMW are the same ones u get in the previous models ! Anyone can make his car go faster by putting a turbo on it, hell i can make the vw go fatser than anything by tunning it to the edge of the world but thats stupid and idiotic !

this goes for all u ppl out there...wat do u get by putting a 2.2L engine in ur civic ? is honda really that stupid for giving it a 1.8L engine rather than a bigger one, no honda made a specific model for the 2.2L engine !!! thats called using ur brains...not turbos !!!

i hope im not being naive, but isnt a 1.3 trying to keep up with a 3.5 V6, a really gutsy intelligent piece of engineering?!!! leaving the details out, i reckon the rx-8 is one hell of a car and it has its own category. needs to be appreciated. great post.

and it has great cornering,
it defeats 350z in cornering.

a normal car with 4 strock engine takes 2 revs to burn all the cylinders.

rotatory engines take 1 rev

hence a rx8 1300cc is producing power equilant to 2600cc (4strock) at any given RPM

bhai RX8 and 350Z dont cost the same. or even almost the same. they may be for the same price in the international market, but in pakistan, since they are both imported, the duty's are very different on 1300cc and 3500cc, thus creating a huge price difference between the two cars. 350Z sells for about 18-20 lahks whereas the RX8 can be found for about 12-14 lakhs. that's a 6 lakhs difference on average.
but like i said in the beginning, their prices in the international markets are the same. but i think that since this is PAKwheels, we are generally concerned with the price that we have to pay (and not that which our cousins in usa or dubai have to pay).
