Now it’s time to get rid of the driver.
When I asked him to end the ride and do hisaab. he was shocked, as he was looking forward for a 3-4 day trip and a good 25-30 thousand rupees.
He kept on selling his “manjan” but when he realized I am not in a mood of buying, I asked him simply what he wants ? he took a U turn and now became hostile. Now he was claiming damages for 2-3 days.
I was mentally prepared for that so was not taking his pressure. When the voices got louder, caught attention of surrounding people within no time. He tried all his cards but I was prepared. He tried to earn favour of other drivers but the local drivers concluded what was justified.
Thanks to soft spoken and peaceful shopkeepers and fellow drivers who helped to get the issue resolved and it was mutually agreed at 12000. (7000 for Islamabad to Sudhangali and 4000 from there to Banjosa and 1000 for stay, as I paid all his meals etc.)
