ok guyz this is really confusing i have sought a map and this is definetly not Musa ka musallah!!!!!
Musa Ka Musallah cannot be seen from this distance. this is giliat area man.

yeah i got confused earlier coz i didnt realise the location of Conflicted. actually i went to siri bang mountains and darkot village in the Haripur/Haro river area so confused it with that.

Planning to attempt Mushkpuri again in a single day (Dungagali-Mushkpuri) on a public holiday (most probably 23rd March). Any body can join (especially Hassan & Danish Bhai)

Asif bhiya,,,, i also thought so, and i still think so, but the problem is of directions... miran jani or mukuspori should be at far away from this peak ..

but again, mountain deceive with respect to shape, distances ...

musa ka masalla is too far away.... but it resembles...

and yeah i took this snap from almost top of a hill near neelan bhoto village...i got this pic captured at 30X zoom from this place

yes i know it resembles the musallah a lot but it cant be it coz that is too far. wo bhe manshera say agay nazar ana sheru hota hai.

When mustansar hussain tarrar can claim in his book 'deosai' that there is a certain point in deosai from which one can see K-2 which is like 150 KM away then i guess seeing musa ka musallah is possible.provided there isn't any obstacle in between.

the first thing i do when i come back to pakistan inshallahis going to nilan boto and c it for myself. i doubt it being Musallah coz there r a lot of peaks in giliat in between. secondly is 4080m and shud b covered more in snow as it is even in summers and kaghan has recieved late snowfall. so this cannot be musallah.

bhai, you cant see this peak from the village as village is in valley.. this peak is visible from a trek starting from pharilla, and while crossing uphill parallel to nelan bhoto village, this view time and again appears.... (from height not from valley)...

2ndly asif bhai, galiyat direction is totally different than that of mansehra... and i am saying it mosa ka masalla due to this direction reason as well as shape resemblance resaon....
while on other hand distance is the reason, that make me think of some other mountain not mosa ka massalla..

Rest if it is mosa ka msalla or miran jani, it matters nothing(but only the knowledge), the only thing that matters is the charm i got while trekking that place...

On the left of Miran Jani Hill, Its Mukshpuri top near Dunga Gali.

Well no way that Mukshpuri can be on the left of Miran Jani while viewing from Islamabad. While viewing from Islamabad side Mukshpuri should be on the right and Miran Jani on the left. On the left of Miran Jani is most probably the peak that is adjacent to Miran Jani that we cross while hiking from Miran Jani to Thandiani. It is almost of the same height as Miran Jani.

sir ji even if ur rite about direction the amount of snow is the greatest proof that its not Musa Ka Musallah.

Danish Bhai plan done (if other things remain same till then). 23rd March (1 day) 8am departure from Faizabad (public tpt) towards Nathiagali for
1. Dungagali - Mushkpuri trek
or
2. Nathiagali - Miranjani trek.

I am damn sure that its meeran jani and its right there is mukshpuri and on left the mountains of Dagree, Lamba Danna and Kuna Danna (The trek from Nathia Gali to Thandiani).

I have checked this from Google Earth.

2nd proof is that, Musa ka mussalla is some what 13000 Above sea level and there is no trees above 10000 feet above sea level but on this mountain (which you wrongly saying Meeran Jani) is clearly shows trees on the top....

3rd proof is my own pic..

I have been to the Meeran Jani top and I also loaded my pic. Me saw Meeran Jani from Nathia Gali, Mukshpuri, from Kohala side and from Namli Maira....
