408 bhp at 5200rpm and 461 ft lb of torque at 3900rpm, more than 100bhp and 100 ft lb torque than the 5.0 liter V12

Nothing super compared to some of the cars today, but this engine was running in 1987! No they never put it in any of their cars, it was not approved from BMW for production, so it remained a prototype only.
