a lil guidance , can i use PVC foam sheet underneath roof ? 0.5" thick aleast to shop rattling ,as if absorbs vibration or waves will it make SPL to decrease?
geforce the best material to stop rattling in ur car would be the thin rubber mats you see in gyms. its around half cm thick or so and will add enough weight to the roof to stop it from rattling

strip carpet off ur roof
sand it to make it level , the big square chunk
glue 1inch foam on top of 0.5inch thick carpeted mdf
bolt it
trust me , u wont worry about roof rattle again tried n tested
and its cheap max, 2k kharcha including any mazdoori

not only bus walas, leading audio installers use this process of mdf fortification for three reasons
1- its cheap
2- minimises rattles to almost 0
3- can be customised to look way cool than normal stock roof
