There is a 2013 paiggio 6k ridden only has a broken head studd and is on sale becuase its studd is no where avaiable ... there is a frame and a fual tank of RP125 on bilal autos of a 2008 model ask the mechnic (Islam sb) why it was dis-assebled and sold as spare part (its Pushrod never came from the factory in replacement parts) ... not to mention its Oil Pump if goes bad then you have to use the CG pump becuase its like a wait of life if wait for the factory...

Bhai aap rehne do. Heavy Bikes spares also aren't widely available here, but that doesn't stop people from buying/importing it.

1 product ko sirf iss liye derecognize karna k uss k spares "widely available nahi hain" like Honda ... thats lame. This reason is a solid point why AHL is keeping its "monopolistic position" in the market. Critically speaking, YES i'd agree with your point about Ravi, that they should do better and focus on its downfalls. But even AHL does not do that in Pakistan, so newsflash ... back to square one.

the only reason of paiggios survival is that it ingerits lots of sapres from CG ...

Had a chat with a few mechanics on this part, and they did not recommend any such thing. But they did say that "it can be fitted". But then you can also fit CG125 parts in CD70 too, so what the heck right.

1 - Abobi Sb isliye tu heavy bike sirf wohi leta hai jo uski nakhray utha sakay her koi nahi leta specially who dont want any hassle... First of all let me get it clear and straight cheeta gee... I hate AHL and its decades old products I dont own an AHL product and I own a highly mAdified paiggio as you know it already I I duely stand by my point of "spare parts widely avaiable" I never said Genuine Engine is repaired in chichu ki milain but if you cg fails there any mechnic will get it running in any case... (say putting non genuine parts what so ever!! )

no you cant fit a single thin from CD70 to CG if we talk about engine ... secondly when you BIG A$$ ride is dead just becuase you cant find its god damn spare aprt then you will have to go any alternative.

WHy you are so happy about it becuase you own a CG ... your opinion would be "HELL NO" if you had a RP or a GS ... is liye men apko mazeed nahi samja sakta sirf itna mashwara don ga bhai paiggio lay lo khudi pta chal jaye ga ... CG k rod tu khudi lay aye ho na ... paiggio ki dafa phir mujhe fone na kerna k iski 'CAM kahan say milti hai ...

oe mwn apko ye bhi bata don ... menay pehly bhi kafi deafa kaha I dont recomend bike to any body unless any body asks me directly .... auto ny bhi khud pocha tha werna shyid men usay bhi mashwara na deta... or RP ya GS sirf usko recomend kerta hon jo wakaye he usay dhond rahay hotay hain ...

@srmklive! Since this matter isn't anything private to be discussed on Private Messages, lets discuss here. If you want, you can also post your PM here for other people to read, since most of these people believe the stock rims on these bikes are "very good quality" rims.

So, don't you have any auto parts market in your Rawalpindi Islamabad area? I'd love to help you out, but i believe there is no need because even if you don't find these Rims in your city ... you can always call the person in Lahore "by phone" and ask them to ship the goods to you, in exchange for an online transfer in their account. It might cost more but it'd be the easiest thing to do.

Mostly AHL Spare Parts distributors also have these Araya, Union or Takasago rims because of their demand. I tried shops like Makhdoom Autos, Green Autos, and Auto Agency (these are MAJOR distributors in McLeod Road) but some of them had only front Rim and some had only Rear Rim. And i was looking for a shop which would have BOTH. This way, front rim costed me slightly more but i got the rear Rim cheaper.

On most of the shops, the rate for Front 2.50-18 Rim (Araya) i got, was Rs.1250 (Makhdoom and Green's rate). Auto Agency was selling Rear Rim only which is 3.00-17 (Araya) for Rs.1475.

I bought them from "Asif Auto Company", 59-McLeod Road Lahore. Here is the rates I got:
Front 2.50-18 Araya Rim = Rs.1320
Rear 3.00-17 Araya Rim = Rs.1450
TOTAL = Rs.2770

These rims will have Araya J markings on them. Otherwise, you can look for any of these three and you won't be disappointed:
1. Araya
2. Union
3. Takasago

Also, have a look my previous posts regarding the wires you need to purchase. If you have a "Bigger front hub" CG125, then you for front rim, you will have to purchase AHL Geniune Wires (because ISH wires come for "smaller hub" CG125 only). But you can get "ISH" wires for Rear wheel.

You are 100% right. The stock RIMS on CG-125 ones are crappy. I had to have the front one re-aligned 3 times in the last month. I am seriously considering buying the RIMS you mentioned in your post, as i am really sick of using stock AHL ones. I am definitely getting the new RIMS.

ISH spoke wires (thanks for the assistance on that word, i forgot about it :D) are much better in quality than your AHL ones, and cost almost the same. Maybe 10 rupees expensive.

The idea is to use ISH wires for both rims. But as mentioned before, it only comes for "Smaller Hub" front wheel and not "bigger hub" ... which means you have no choice but to use AHL's geniune spoke and nuggets set.

Your existing spokes net (i mean, the spoke wires installed in your rims) will be cutt off rendering them unusable.

Also, if your existing tyre tubes have more than 5 punctures, better change it. Or not, thats your preference. Thats really not gonna make any difference, other than reducing the number of punctures.

Also, make sure you find a highly skilled person to align your rims 100%. Believe me, thats the first thing you need to do. Because having better quality rims isn't gonna cut it , unless you find someone who does the job by heart. Fortunately, i have one in my area which is famous for his work for many years. And i am 100% satisfied with his work.

Yep, you are correct. 1.4x18 is front, and 1.6x17 is rear.

I always forget it so its easier for me to remember the tyre sizes. As i have come to know that for 2.50x18 and 2.75-18, one rim size will work i.e. 1.4x18.

Still think SOMO rims are in 'very good quality'? These would be one of the shittiest rims these bike manufacturers use. And they are famous for only their chrome quality, which is comparitively better than the rest of locally manufactured rims. Locally manufactured will cost you just Rs.500 approx while a SOMO, just Rs.800 approx.

I am not saying that Araya, Union and Takasago are the best we have because i'd still prefer 100% japenese rims. But i'd still prefer them over the stock ones.

The reason for preferring Japenese is because i have seen them in action. A family member once crashed his GTO150 at the speeds of 40-50km/h ... and the front rim was like untouched. Not a single dent on it :S That was a Takasago real japenese rim. And guess what becomes of todays rims.

Yes it works. Suzuki is using 1.4x18 for 2.75-18 tyre.
But to me 1.4 rim is kind of small for anything bigger than 2.50.

So i have 1.6x18 rim at front for 2.75-18 tyre.
Deluxe and Piaggio also have same combo at front.

Yeah this change first came in deluxe and now in CG as well... may be they started to manufacture locally ?

Its the stock size. Thats one of the reasons why CG125 is more agile in traffic, and many people like it because of its maneuverability.

Mera koi mood nai hay kisi kharadiye wagera k paas janay ka. I want to import a set, disassemble the front myself and just fit the new one.

I am willing to pay extra for 100% Japenese maal.

Yamaha YD125 Sport front will fit in CG classic bolt to bolt but the company is not in a mood to sale out the items :S
