Ac compressor causing load and no cooling on idling

Ask the mechanic to bring down the LP side pressure yo 50psi.

how will he do that? reducing quantity of gas? basically on low ambient temp or throwing water at condenser the low side pressure does get low around 45 psi, right now i didn't actually do anything to it apart from resetting idle rpm and since then cooling is good though not great at idling, if outside temp is 34-38 then cooling is really good while on move and sufficient on standing

Ensure that there is sufficient flow of air across the evaporator (replace cabin filter/ clean evaporator).
Also ask him whether expansion valve is functioning properly.

evaporator was cleaned, expansion valve was a little doubtful but we couldn't find the correct new expansion valve so left it as it is, by the way sometimes Ac does not drip water and other times drips very much on the ground does that indicate a expansion valve that sometime gets stuck?

Dripping of condensate through the drain line has nothing to do with the expansion valve.
Ensure that the drain line is free not clogged.
The most important thing now is to replace the expansion valve.

How do you check how hot is condenser? By hand or by using a temp gauge
Mostly AC works really well at night or while moving infact at night it's pretty good at standstill in night also so high head pressure is a problem and I think condenser/compressoror expansion valve is causing it
I didn't go with the plan of changing the condenser to multi flow changing compressor etc as I could not find original parts or a good mechanic mostly they refuse to do things properly and would only do it their way heck they even k dusted I make the fan direct fit better cooling at standstill and another one didn't even knew howto read pressure readings properly do I walked away from them
Car is not a daily driver and previous work was performed the correct way after reading posts here so right now Its fine at night

Bro if car heats up on AC and taking load! Check AC compressor bearing, if it is OK than radiator and its hose pipes would be the issue... Coz when water is not circulated properly in an engine then AC takes load and faces heat up problems. After some time radiator hose pipes become soft causing shrink while you accelerating. Also remove the engine thermostat if radiator fan is not on auto. Good luck
