@ahmadbila , dear, I have a question. Is PER necessary for u guys to get separately or you can start job right away after u pass your papers and while you're doing your job your PER is being completed at the same time?

Sir do u mean u are a CMA from ICMAP or IMANET (USA) or CMA (UK, CIMA) or some other? im myself considering cma usa for myself, its only 2 papers exams and for someone who is almost through acca, its not much difficult. any tips/advise wud be appreciated.

I am CMA from Pakistan. CIMA UK can be done after doing a Pakistani qualification. Having a Pakistani base of your degree helps you better within PK and they are recognized abroad as well, and if u plan to pursue a career abroad, s supplement of foreign qualification is the best thing to do.

good question. after acca, one can start a job in any company whatsoever. but it will only be counted as PER if the company is recognized by acca, there are many in Pakistan. if the company is not recognized, u are still doing a job, u ll get paid, ur CV will get weight in terms of experience but ACCA will not count this work for its 3 years membership requirement.

theres is no 'appropriate' age for certifications. one of my father's junior, a banker in his 40s is also doing acca u just have to check with ur circumstances. i.e. wud acca give u any advantage? can u give it enough time? can u spend money on its fees etc.
i never recommend people to come into acca after metric, although many people do. the reason is simple, immaturity. something that will never let u finish ur acca exams. so i think one shud join anytime after intermediate. im 23 myself and am very near to finishing it.

that is right. If u have a Pakistani certification, u ll do better then people who only have foreign certifications.

sir ghalat fehmi hy. one of my senior got a job in MCB bank lahore, in the head quarter on ferozpur road, he gets paid 28,000rs per month. this is his first job n no experience watsoever. normally 15000-20000 tak he milti hy job lakin ap sath MAX na lagaen...

I don't know about current rules and regulations of ACCA
But in my tenure of ACCA, you can get 3 year training experience on your job and STR (currently known as PER) can be filled by your supervisor (where u r doing job). But your supervisor must be a qualified person i.e CA,FCA,ACMA

not sure about that. i dont think it wud be that less. a friend's brother used to work in telenor in 2011 and was getting paid 35k a month after his ACCA + ACA.

no, just acca+aca and then at the start of the contract he started at 35k but that was in telenor, which is Pakistan's most reputable employer.

u mean acca + icaew exemption n then he started training as job in telenor before attempting 2 papers n case study n monthly pay was 35k?

dont know about exam sessions of icaew
but that must have used up 1year atleast i guess,still alot better this way then as i guess u cant leave training once joined training for 3 years right?

ammm... i think yes! because its a 'training contract', not just an internship sort of thing. but that guy DID leave telenor just 2 years later, dont know why. btw, are u considering doing ACA? if so, why? its only of use in UK and to some extent in middle east.

the under mentioned specific exemptions as approved by the Council of ICAP are presently available:

Provided that if such members desire to start practice as Chartered Accountants, they will have to pass the papers of “Advanced Taxation” and “Corporate Laws” of the Final Examinations.

u not only get ACA of ICAEW but CA of ICAP as wel with just 2 papers to go which can enhance the value significantly otherwise who wants to give P7 in core papers

well, in Pakistan, ACA is worth only if u get in CA. not that its totally useless otherwise but u cant get into audit without getting into CA. pehle banda acca k 14 papers day, phir ACA k 3, phir CA k 2 bas yaaarrr!!! thats why i prefer management accountancy. its similar all over the world. and btw, I want to give P7 and P5 papers

well acca alone wont have much value unless one uses reference
management accountancy is cma of icma?
i dont like costing,so p6 n p4 was my choice but p7 for aca
papers are not that much issue as much as that extremely low stipend for 3 years
once u complete those 2 papers n case study n 3yr training then exemption means CA finalist even if u havent attempted those 2 papers
there must b audit practise i suppose in those 3 years n even if its there or not all icap requires is ACA n just 2yr training n then u got ca finalist title too rest then practise audit or not
