Bad crash....
As far as car quality, both cars are of good quality. Both are Japanese Made. Don't forget Liana is also 80% Japanese manufactured just welded together in Pakistan with about 20% or 30% local parts.
Anyway, the RX-8 took the crash very well. That is how it suppose to take the impact, all new cars are built that way. They have front crumple zones, meaning the front suppose to get bent and crush up, to take up most of frontal collision impact force, and minimize the effect on the driver and from the pictures you can see, the driver cabin is perfect, the windshield is intact and airbags probably even prevented minor bruises on the driver.
Liana took impact well also, the Rear of any car is tougher and does not have the crumple zones as the rear impact is usually not as deadly as front collision. In rear collision you can sustain a neck injury and whip lash, that is why you have head rests in all cars now.
