You are right, in Pakistani traffic respect is directly proportional to price of vehicle you are driving, I have driven all kinds and I have noted a drastic change in behaviour of fellow drivers on road, if you are driving a cheap old car you will get horns and dippers and people will not give you way, and well if you are on an expensive or a large SUV people behave like slaves and get out of your way even without you honking the horn. I once took a lot of time making U turn on badar commercial Karachi in a Nissan fairlady and people waited patiently, had I been in a mehran I would have received abuse.
Sadly our society is materialistic to the core and we value human beings by judging their worth in material ways.
