Is the accord cl9 a daily driver? Should i consider it as my personal car and use it on a daily basis?
Further if not then what other good options are available in this budget? 14lakh.

Well, i am using it on daily basis and its perfect. Like any other 2nd hand car, it will take time to set it to your preference. But once done, its a really comfortable drive. What i like the most is that its fun both when you want to just cruise lazily or when you want to go hard on it.

Otherwise, if you want safe options, you can a 1.6 gli. Or A reborn. Or a city. Probably an aqua too.
Fun options are cl9, Mercedes c class. Bmw 3 series. Mark II grande. All these would be around 2003 model. A 2006 or 07 premio as well.

That depends upon your personal preference of course, but it definitely has been my daily driver, approaching 3 years now. Consumption is not too good, in my experience, but my drive isn't too much and company pays most of the fuel so it doesn't matter to me. Other than that, it's a perfect daily driver, which my wife also drives regularly. And of course once you get the hang of it, there aren't many other options you can go back to, as far as being a daily driver is concerned.

It has different tuning parameters. You can either get a reflashed ECU from abroad or try to get the tuning parameters file along with the canbus which will connect a computer to ECU via a chip programmer and then you can burn the new parameters on the ECU. The second option is highly unlikely that anyone will lend you their parameters files. And you will have to get a chip programmer.

The CL9 personally for myself has been a dedicated-alternative daily car - Allhumdillah alway's been satisfied with what it brings to the table.

How Much did it cost to have the ECU flashed (posting + reprogramming) and I'm assuming you were without an ecu for your car while it was being re flashed.
Was there a difference in car response/ performance/ fuel economy?

Nope - All I managed to do was to disconnect the radio, switch to AM radio whenever I'm playing music - apparently FM has more distortion in comparison to AM lol - absolutely ridiculous. It's probably a software issue with the unit.

Need a bit of advice. I got the throttle body cleaned few weeks back. Idling rpm has been higher since then. In neutral its usually around 900 to 1000 without ac. 1100 with ac. Showed it to my mechanic and he says everything is fine. What to do?

Must've been hell dirty I reckon. I've got it cleaned multiple times, as I'm OCD about it, but never made a difference to idle RPM. It's supposed to self adjust. At max, even if it was really dirty, it should be back to normal within a week. If idle is high on cold engine, lower on warm engine and higher again when you switch on AC (which I'm assuming is the case here) then IAC is fine.

I've had my fair share of problems with IAC in my previous Mitsubishi 4G13 and 4G18 (which are notorious for these problems) but never had any issue with any Honda. Have heard stories of everything going haywire in City, Reborn, etc. but personally never had any issue with multiple times throttle body cleaning on R18, K24 and even L15 Turbo. Stumped. Idle should be 650, when warm, maybe 100 revs higher when AC is on.

It should've self adjusted within a week, max. So the only 'solution' I can think of is maybe idle relearn procedure or ECU reset? Has a scanner been hooked up after this issue?

When engine is cold, idle is at 2000. 900 to 1000 on warm engine. 100 more with ac. I had it scanned. No issues. How to reset the ecu?

That's exactly what happened when I got my Lancer's throttle body cleaned after 5 years. Surged to 2k RPM cold, but eventually came down to normal itself within a week.

ECU reset for my car (non-navi) is very simple - disconnect negative battery terminal for about 15 minutes. For Navi there is something particular to be taken care of before disconnecting, which maybe others here can help with. Otherwise maybe mechanic can reset using a scanner?

The navigation software gets wiped if battery is removed. I have the installation disk so that wouldnt be an issue. Will try this tomorrow

Thats taking off negative terminal for 15 mins as mentioned above? Or somthing else?
