Saw a karachi number black CL9 with sunroof at Gloria jeans enroute to Murree during this weekend. Couldnt take a pic. But that was a beauty. Coludnt take my eyes off it.

And the driver in the black CL9 was probably looking over at your Silver CL9 with the sunroof - We owners are usually in the driving seat and barely get to see our car on the road unless someone else is driving it, never really get the opportunity to truly admire our car lol.

I'm not from PAF but majority of my family members are; still remember their 3 star Thai-Accords lol - you might say I'm partial Army considering my fathers position lol.

I was interested in a CL9.....one question though.....the one that I test drove was not doing much when I floored it..just moving along at its gentle pace....owner claimed that it does this at times and other times it was ok...told him the transmission feels funny and there is an issue....he claimed only oil change would fix it...what could be the issue????

Anyways got the posting few days ago. When I drove this car from Karachi to Rwp, didnt think it would be going further North. Lets see, will be moving in Sep hopefully.

CL9s are very responsive. Unlike Civic prosmatecs which show a slight hesitation on accelerating. In comparison, CL9s give response immediate. And when you floor it, turns into a beast.
Could be any issue out of multiple possibilities ranging from Cat converter choking, to fuel intake issues all having different indications. Get it scanned for CEL for starters. Transmission is sore point.

Brother, the CL9 you probably test drove wasn't any good. If you floor the car it'll pull strong - nothing outrageous but you'll definitely feel a 2.4litre engine roaring.

• CL Accord's tend to develop a transmission issue which can only be fixed by actually replacing the transmission - there's no other permanent solution to it. I suggest that you test drive other cars as well to get a wider picture of the car.

I had one in Australia but it was around 60K kms driven and like a brand new car...used it for 3 months before selling it, only did 2 oil changes and that's it....the car I test drove apparently has 130ish kms so thought the gear box might be the culprit....also the car needs some TLC...owner had no clue wheather it had CAT converter so did not investigate further......will get it checked if the price seller agrees is very very low

link not here.....my mechanic directed me to it....want to offer him less than a million.....asked around, 50K for transmission...it is the one with factory body kit and 17" factory alloy rims thus leaning towards it...all electrics are working, no cruise and sunroof, factory reverse cam working but screen is a bit dark.....3 piece painted rest all original...just trying to balance out spending less (less means less than a million) with few fixable issues vs buying sth sround 1.5 million mark having no such issues

An accord CL for less than a million will never give you a peace of mind.

Yup transmission is around 50k - but if the car's engine is weak, do look for a better car. - In Pakistan I've come across people who purchased a CL9 and later found out that the engine was a swapped out K24A1 from a CR-V lol.

Yes. Engine and tranny are the primary factors. "Body pieces painted" comes later in my opinion. If the car isnt driving like it should the pleasure is gone. Moreover, cruise con is a further minus

yup it was the most basic in options....only reason I was inclining was that it comes with factory body kit and rims without giving out much noises.....mechanic would tell better but engine seemed in good heath....I was thinking about offering him 8lakh with all the added expanses, but after discussing with owners in the forum, deciding against it.....better to get sth without issues in 1.4 million range

Issues are inevitable brother but cars within 13-15lacs and 16-18lacs range will definitely have their own benefits.

true.....these cars are now about 15 years old and most of them have been driven on Pakistani roads for 12 years now....question is....if the car I have checked clears out mechanically with engine and transmission with some extra things to be fixed, is 8 lakh a good offer...owner wants around 9 lakh final
